Ekerd Sirart
[-----] [flash=30,25]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDErgD9YNyc[/flash] Account Name: K1ng Basic Character Information Name: Ekerd Sirart Nickname: Runt Age: 8 Gender: Male Race: Human Affiliation: Marines Rank (Commendations): Chore Boy(0) Achievements:N/A Primary Profession: The Thief is a job closely related to the assassin. They both provide stealth capabilities, though a Thief gains lockpicking skills instead of poison knowledge, can generally know their way around the ways of barter and trade, and pickpocketing. Thieves don't have it hard to find 'underground info' in most cities.Thieves will gain an extra 10% in Beli rewards in all Storylines they complete (for themselves). Secondary Profession: A Martial Artist is someone who specializes in hand-to-hand combat, completely or very close to unarmed. They usually have good insight in the aspects of weight, balance and movement of the body. Position: Crewman Physical Appearance Height: 3' 9" Weight: 44 Lbs Hair: Brown Eyes: Green Clothing/Accessories: His typical garb is a worn pair of stark gray overalls, and a white t-shirt underneath. He has a blue bracelet on his right hand and an orange bracelet on his left hand. The bracelets are hand made by his late mother and he keeps them on at all times. His shoes are an old pair of over sized work boots. They are much too large for Ekerd and obviously belonged to a much older man before Ekerd received them. Ekerd occasionally wears a pair of brown leatrher work gloves but he doesn't own them. They are given out on the ship when he is required to work with sharp/hot things. He also wears a beany that matches his overalls. General Appearance: Ekerd is quite small, even for his age. He looks frail and weak, but on closer inspection, he is toned, having little to no body fat. His skin is slightly tan from working outside. He has a severe farmers tan, everything below his cloths is extremely pale. His hair is medium length and sticks out the sides of his hat in random directions. He is often covered in scrapes and bruises because he is bullied by others his age. At any typical point in time, he will be wearing an "artificial" smile. Though he looks happy from a distance, if you get close, you can see the weariness in his eyes. none The Character Personality: Ekerd has trouble displaying emotion, so too make up for his monotonous personality, he wears a constant smile. He likes to appear cheerful all the time in order to raise others opinion of him. Ekerd is always tired due to an overactive work schedule and this tends to contribute to his lackluster emotions. No emotions really make it through his muddled mind. On rare days when he gets to rest, genuine smiles and cheeriness are all that one would see of Ekerd. Hometown: Swift Breeze, South Blue History: Since birth, Ekerd only had his mother. His father left the harbors of Swift Breeze to become a pirate. Having abandoned his wife and new born son, he obtained a certain degree of resentment from his family. Namely, that Ekerd wants him dead. Soon after his fathers departure, Ekerd's mother became ill. Afraid that it was contagious, she made Ekerd two bracelets and then left him at an orphanage. Ekerd lived in the orphanage until he was 6 when he ran away to find his mother. He traveled the ports until he stumbled onto a 3 year old picture of his mother. The image was faded, and all that was on it was an address and what seemed to be an advertisement. Upon reaching the place listed, Ekerd read the sign "Brothel". He had no idea what these words meant. Ekerd entered the building to discover a terrible place, filled with terrible people. Pirates. Hiding his disgust, Ekerd looked for someone who resembled his mother but he found none. After a few minutes he was confronted by the owner of the establishment. After asking about his mother, the owner took him to a back room. Ekerd was told that a year ago, a pirate had entered the building, and that his mother acted strangely when she saw him. The man was loud and boisterous, accompanied by his crew. Seconds after the pirate took his seat, Ekerd's mother lunged at him with a knife. Upon piercing his chest, she was promptly beheaded by a sword. The man was wearing a protective coat and remained unfazed. After hearing the story, Ekerd's eyes teared up. He knew the man had to have been his father. Ekerd was overcome with emptiness and despair. All he could do was to try and forget, so he started working. At first he just did small tasks, like sweeping and washing dishes, but as time went by, he began to do more exciting jobs. The more exciting the job, the quicker he would forget. He did a few sketchy jobs, and then started to do things on his own. Being in Swift Breeze, the winds were fierce and this gave him an idea. He would follow business men and people who may be carrying important documents and then he would strike. He would stealthily knock the papers from their grasps and then chase down the documents with his speed. After getting the papers, he would bring them back to the people for a reward. He did this for 2 years until he went after someone who would change his life forever. It was a marine carrying some important orders. Ekerd snuck up behind him and outstretched his arm towards the papers. He was promptly grabbed by the marine, who, while grabbing the boy, had dropped his papers. In shock the marine let go and cried out "Oh no!". Ekerd quickly got the documents and came back to apologize. After hearing Ekerd's story, the marine told him to get an honest job, and even offered to show him a marine ship where he could be a chore boy. END OF PRE-DEVIL FRUIT Abilities and Possessions Combat: Combat is something that Ekerd does not wish to partake in. He tends to run at the slightest hint of a fight. If there is no other choice, he will use his Jyozu Jyozu power to use anything he can find as a weapon until he finds an opportunity to escape. His make shift weapons of choice are small rocks and pebbles that he can throw, he prefers ranged combat to melee combat. As a last ditch effort, he has a bag of marbles he can use as projectiles. Dr. Gleeford
[-----] [flash=30,25]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW6xNEqF_g4[/flash] Account Name: K1ng Basic Character Information Name: Octavious P. Gleeford Nickname: Doc, Dr. Gleeford, Glee Age: 19 Gender: Male Race: Human Affiliation: Pirate Bounty: 0 Achievements:N/A Primary Profession: A scientist is a different name for those primarily interested in chemistry, the making of explosions and poisons, gas or the like. They get primarily the same basic mathematical skills as the Inventor, and a lot of knowledge about various materials. Scientists do not need to pay upkeep on the poisons/explosives they manufacture. Secondary Professions: A Doctor, on a ship or otherwise, gains large medical knowledge. They also get various other related knowledge in terms of poisons, nutrients, animals, anatomy and certain history. Suturing and cleaning wounds, making bandages out of various materials and preparing drugs, is all part of a Doctor's job. Doctors are the only ones capable of healing serious injuries on the crew. The Thief is a job closely related to the assassin. They both provide stealth capabilities, though a Thief gains lockpicking skills instead of poison knowledge, can generally know their way around the ways of barter and trade, and pickpocketing. Thieves don't have it hard to find 'underground info' in most cities, either. Merchants are fairly charismatic people who are skilled in both bargaining and selling things to others. Their expertise means that they are very knowledgeable of the economy, and deal with all manner of merchandise. Position: Surgeon Physical Appearance Height: 5’11.5” Weight: 153 Lbs. Hair: Dark Brown Eyes: Grey Clothing/Accessories: In most horror movies involving a hospital, there is the evil doctor with the bloody lab coat. Cliché right? Octavious happens to love this particular look and would be happy to correct those who make fun of it. The coat is supposed to be white and is pretty standard. Underneath the coat there is normally a earth colored(dark green, dark blue, grey, brown) collared shirt. He also wears a pair of cargo shorts with many pockets filled with nick-nacks such as animal parts and scalpels. On his feet he has a simple pair of blue thong flip flops. Clearly he likes to look professional. Unlike the cliché mad doctor, he doesn’t have the metal disc attached to his forehead;instead he just has his scruffy hair. General Appearance: Normally when someone is lean sickly and pale looking, they are sick. The Dr. is all of these but he is perfectly healthy. Physically at least: mental health is another story. He has a number of scars on his hands and on surrounding areas from mishaps with the scalpel. He tends to nip himself with his wild strokes. His eyes are squinty and he always appears tired. Often drool can be seen slipping out the corner of his mouth before being promptly wiped on his sleeve. Besides the blood stains on his cloths, there are several other less than sanitary stains. Don’t ask what those are from. Seriously, don’t ask. He walks with an odd swagger, his back is arched and his arms hang straight down as he walks. He most likely has scoliosis. With his awful coordination, he trips a lot and may have scrapes and bruises on his knees. Depends on how much he goes outside on that particular day. The Character Personality: He has the mind of a small child, except that he’s violent, cruel, wait…. He has a mind almost completely different from a small child. The only similarity is that their emotions are driven by them getting what they want. If he’s uncomfortable he will whine and pout until he gets angry enough to solve the problem. These problems range from him being in a bad sitting position so he shifts his back, to him getting lip from some lady, so he removes her lips. He does on occasion randomly cackle but for the most part he is quite serious (or too tired to be very expressive). The only thing/person that he shows any form of affection is Wiggles. In fact, he absolutely adores wiggles. He bases half of his actions on making Wiggles happy and the other half on making himself happy. The rest of the world can rot for all he cares (unless, of course, they complement his worms, or fund his crazy antics). Hometown: Osula, North Blue History: "Ungh Uh Uh Uh Uhhh Unghhhhhhh," At this point Octavious was conceived. Too far back? Then please allow me to fast forward a little. From a young age, Octavious was able to grasp things quicker than most. He was reading by age two and by age 9 he was well on his way through school. At the age of 14 he was an apprentice to a doctor and by age 17 he received a medical license. Sounds like a bright, up and coming lad right? This was a very vague time line that doesn't allow you to see his insanity. During a biology class when he was nine, we have our first glimpse at his mental disposition. It was the day they were going to dissect their very first animal: the worm. Every one in the glass was perfectly fine with dicing up the poor little creatures, everyone except for Octavious. Every time he lowered the scalpel, the worm would avoid the incoming blade. Finally, fed up with the worm, Octavious cut the worm in half, but to his surprise, it didn't die. It simple became two separate worms. He had never seen anything like this, it fascinated him. The will to survive, and it's natural survivability were a thing of beauty for Octavious. He had formed an obsession. After schooling he searched the world for a worm that brought this "beauty" to a new level. His search brought him to a vast desert rife with dangerous creatures, and at the top of the food chain was the dune worm. A monstrous beast with 2 large vicious mouths, it struck it's pray from below sensing their vibrations. It would then shoot up from below, tossing them into the air and catching them in it's mouth. Truly a terrifying site to behold....for some. In his madness, Octavious viewed these scenes as works of art and could watch them for hours on end. Finally he came to a conclusion. He wanted one. After finding the most vicious hunter of them all, he stamped his feet on the ground, waiting for it to strike. When he felt the tremors, he leaped away in just barely enough time to dodge. Almost fully extended above the ground, the creature was enormous. It arched itself towards Octavious but it didn't strike. It simply faced Octavious mouth agape, drool dripping from it's maw. Octavious tapped his hands on the ground, but the creature simply did not strike. "Why won't you attack?" The worm lowered it's head to the ground just in front of Octavious and waited. "What do you want from me?"The creature suddenly moved forward, garbbing Octavious in it's mouth and tossing him in the air. "Ahaha so you will eat me!!" Octavious closed his eyes, prepared for the end and suddenly he landed with a thump, onto a tough leathery surface. He had landed on top of the worm. Puzzled by what was happening, Octavious decided to test something. "Forward!" he shouted and suddenly the worm surged forward. He was awestruck. The beast had basically given itself to him, exactly as he had wanted. A smile stretched across his face. Deciding to have some "fun" the went on a rampage around the desert, attacking different caravans until Octavious was bored. Not enough, this worms power was simply not enough. He had to make it better, much much better. Returning to his home, Octavious searched for a doctor renowned for his surgical skills. After a few months he found one worthy to teach him. He became an apprentice surgeon and began learning the ways of the profession. With his natural ability to learn, he picked up the skills incredibly quick and once he was done, he decided to let his master meet his pet. He brought the doctor outside of the town to an area of open plains. Confused by the action the doctor opened his mouth to ask why they were there, but , no words came out. He was suddenly hurled into the air and promptly snapped in half by the worms powerful jaws. Using his newly learned skills, Octavious began his experiments on different creatures. He performed terrible acts upon the poor creatures but he was unfazed. He was acting for the greater good: the evolution of worm kind. Once he was satisfied with his skills, he began the operation on the worm. Using gills harvested from several large sharks, he line the inside of the worms mouth with gills. He then covered them with a retractable flap of skin to keep them moist, and safe from the things it ate. Now with it's new capabilities, the worm had a whole new area to hunt: the ocean. The reason worms had never progressed into the big blue in order to obtain food was that they could not breath. With it's new gills, the worm was easily capable of traversing the wide ocean. With this, the first phase of worm evolution was complete. Proudly, Octavious dubbed his new improved worm, Wiggles V1.0, Wiggles for short. For the next phase of his plan he would need money, and lots of it. Looking out at sea, he recalled stories he had heard of men on ships going around and stealing all that they desired. He liked the idea of such a profession and so, he set out to become a pirate. Abilities and Possessions Combat: Doc…..Is quite odd during combat. He dances around like a madman waving his scalpels like a orchestra conductor whilst Wiggles does all the actual fighting. If confronted, he will use scalpels for their designed purpose: to slice. Traits:Beast Handler (1 Trait) - Characters with this trait have a natural affinity for getting along with animals. Wild animals tend to behave either neutrally or friendly towards the character, unless they are very strongly aggressive. These animals, with proper approach and care, may be made to be merely distrustful and may sometimes refrain from attacking. The user also gains one NPC pet, who may possess humanlike intelligence, behaves as a crew NPC and is controlled by the player of the main character. The NPC is Wiggleswho is a giant dune worm. Mad Scientist (1 Trait) –The mad scientist has the ability to make one major biological modification to themselves and any NPCs they control. With this trait I have added gills to the inside of Wiggle's mouth. When he swims through water, he opens his front mouth and water passes over the gils, and exits out the second mouth. Because of this trait, Wiggles can no longer burrow through the ground because it would damage the gills. Jack of All Trades (1 Trait) – The character is able to master multiple skills, and has become adept at a number of things. This character gains two additional secondary professions. Pickpocket (1 Trait) – As a thief, the character is skilled at obtaining money by less-than-acceptable means. Thus, they will always earn 25% more Beli in their Storylines. Wiggles V1.0
[-----] [flash=30,25]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CubrHUd9uwU&feature=player_detailpage[/flash] NPC Type:Beast Handler NPC Owner: Octavious P. GleefordAccount Name:K1ng Basic NPC Information Name: Wiggles V1.0 Nickname: Wiggles Age: 61 Gender: Male Race: Worm Affiliation: Pirate Bounty: 0 Profession: N/A Position: Crewman Physical Appearance Height: 9.3 Meters(length) Weight: 6.4 Tons (12,400 lbs.) Hair: N/A Eyes: Black and beady, usually covered by a thick flap of skin to prevent dirt from scratching the lens. General Appearance: A huge worm with thick light grey leathery skin. He has millions of microscopic hair like structures that it can manipulate to propel it through sand and even water if it had gills. He has 3 large movable bony teeth in its mouth. These 3 teeth are are covered in a nerveless layer of skin and meet into a cone shape allowing it to pierce through the ground. Inside the mouth are countless spikes that shred the ingested animals. On land and in the water it travels in a zig zag pattern like a snake. The Character Personality: He is a natural born hunter. Literally. His sole purpose is to hunt and hunt well, so all he thinks about his prey, and eating them. While he hunts he is completely calm. Lately, after meeting Octavious, he has started to develop deeper emotions and it confuses him. When Octavious is happy, Wiggles feels slightly energetic and he has a pleasurable sensation. When Octavious is angry, Wiggles tends to get even more violent. He used to be solely concerned with himself, but now, Octavious is just as important as his own life. Hometown: Desertia, West Blue History: It all began in a slight pink egg deep below the deserts of Desertia. After 6 years the previously dormant egg finally began to show signs of life. The shell wall was eaten through by the animal inside. It was a dune worm. Instinctively it began to go towards the surface for its first breath of air. This particular baby was luck, there was a lizard on the surface close to where he was. With a crunch and a snap, the lizard was eaten. This worm had tasted blood before its first breath. Years passed as this worm became an exceptional hunter. Over and over it killed anything it could find. It would go dormant for a month or two and then awake ready to feed on whatever it wanted. this process repeated for 58 years. Countless humans were killed and this devilish beast became famous on the island for targeting travelers. this was false. It wasn't targeting the travelers, it just wanted larger prey so it went after horses and such. When the lizard was an impressive age for it's species, 58, it met an interesting human. Initially the worm had attacked the man, but the man managed to avoid his first blow. When the worm opened it's eyes to see what was in front of it, it saw a human male. At first he was just going to strike him, but suddenly it was overcome by a strange feeling. The sight of this human made it's urges subside and affection even started to form. The man slapped the ground so the worm lowered its head. The man then yelled something. The worm didn't understand. The man yelled again, but this time, the noises he made started to make sense to him. this had never happened to the worm before. Finally a third time the man yelled, and the worm understood completely. The worm tossed the man up and caught him on its back. The human was startled, but soon calmed. The man said "Forward," so the worm went forward. This was the beginning of a heart warming relationship. The mans name was Octavious and he was a mad scientist. They went on a wild killing spree across the desert but eventually the man had to leave, but he didnt want to leave the worm, so he brought him with him. Back in the mans homeland, the ground was much softer and was easier to travel through. The man left the worm in an open field and told it not to draw the attention of humans. He then said he would be back and left the worm here. After 2 years of hunting small animals, and resisting the urge to kill humans, the Octavious returned. With him was another man, Octavious stamped the ground three times with his foot. This was the signal to eat. Wiggles instantly attacked the other man, and had a long awaited human for dinner. The two were extremely happy to see each other again. From then on, Octavious lived with the worm cutting up animals and putting them back together, when he was done with the animals, the worm ate them. Finally, Octavious asked the worm if he wanted to eat even tastier animals. Obviously, the worm shook with joy. Octavious said he would need to change the worm, the worm allowed him to do so. After waking up from a deep slumber that Octavious had made happen, the worm had a weird sensation in his mouth. Octavious lead the worm to water, and when the worm went in, to its surprise, it could breath. Thrilled, the worm took off into the sea, eating many strange new things. Upon returning the worm was given a name: Wiggles V1.0. Octavious said he wasn't done yet. He had taken away Wiggles ability to burrow by giving it gills so he wanted to make wormy even better. It would take a lot of money to get his burrowing back so they were going to become something called "pirates" in order to get some. The worm didn't care what he did, as long as they were together, so they set out on an adventure. Abilities and Possessions Combat: He tears things to shreds with his mouths. He lurks underneath the water and will quickly strike when he deems it best or upon Octavious’ order. On land, he either stays on the surface and dukes it out in a physical battle, or operates in a similar manner to ocean battles, but from underground. [[flash=30,25]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toXNVbvFXyk[/flash]] Account Name: K1ng Basic Character Information Name: Gen Nickname: “Gen” Age: 63 Gender: Male Race: Human Affiliation: Marine Rank (Commendations): Ensign(0) Achievements:n/a Profession: Merchants are fairly charismatic people who are skilled in both bargaining and selling things to others. Their expertise means that they are very knowledgeable of the economy, and deal with all manner of merchandise. Merchants can get a 10% discount on any purchases they make, no matter what the item, for themselves. The Navigator profession gives knowledge about reading sea charts, currents and weather, reading the stars for a position and a lot of practical ship knowledge, too. Plotting a course along with the related mathematics, all of these are part of the Navigator's job. A Martial Artist is someone who specializes in hand-to-hand combat, completely or very close to unarmed. They usually have good insight in the aspects of weight, balance and movement of the body. The Thief is a job closely related to the assassin. They both provide stealth capabilities, though a Thief gains lock picking skills instead of poison knowledge, can generally know their way around the ways of barter and trade, and pickpocketing. Thieves don't have it hard to find 'underground info' in most cities, either. Position: Physical Appearance Height: 3’9” Weight: 49 Lbs. Hair: White Eyes: Blue Clothing/Accessories: The most noticeable thing about his clothing, well the lack of clothing, is that he does not wear a shirt. He likes to expose his bare chest. Around his waist he wears a pumpkin orange sash with a series of brown dots on it. The sash is about 7 feet and wraps around his gut twice before extending behind him. At the ends of the sash are dark brown patters that consist of a jagged solid shape and a tear drop shape. Behind his back is a linen bag that is used to deliver mail. It is held on by a thin cloth strap that also serves as a belt to hold his pants up. His pants are very lose and made of a thin cloth material. They are dark brown in color and allow for the free movement of his legs even while in hybrid zoan form. On his feet he wears a pair of leather flip-flops with string bindings. The backs of the flip-flops are attached to his pants so that when he transforms they don’t get lost. General Appearance: In general terms he is a small old man. In more descriptive terms, he is a small old man. He has a small tuft of white hair on top of his head and a small white beard below his chin. His eyebrows are thick and surprise surprise, white. He has big navy blue eyes that are usually un-viewable due to his squinty expressions. On rare occasions they open when he is angry or surprised. His skin is very taught across his body exposing thin wiry muscles. He does have wrinkles but they aren’t very noticeable, mostly around his eyes. The one area where he does not have muscle definition is his stomach. He has a round gut, while not very large, is enough to hide his abdominal muscles. His arms and legs are both very thin but toned, he keeps in shape. The Character Personality: His most noticeable personality trait is his obsession with his job. He is a mailman by trade and he takes his job seriously. Much too seriously. When he has a nice solid day of work he is happy, maybe even ecstatic. When it is a slow day, he is often in a foul mood, and on days off he is always irritable or depressed. Now this doesn’t mean he is only happy when at work. He is also happy when he is partaking in his hobbies of martial arts and map making. These individual acts aren’t what make him happy though. It is how, by practicing them, he makes his job easier. Anything that he can do in his own time to make his job easier/better will always bring joy to his face. Yes he is quite obsessed. Other than his job obsession he does have 1 or 2 other quirky traits. He is very meticulous by nature. He does anything and everything he can when he takes interest in something. When he was a child, he would read the rulebooks at least 5 times before he would play with a toy. In school, he read the books hundreds of times before he thought he was ready for a test. Now that he is a mailman, and has been for many years, he still does everything in his power to make this job more enjoyable. This can almost completely explain his obsession for his job except for one thing, why he chose to be a mailman. Why did he become a mail man? It was the first job he was offered. Hometown: Orange Town, Organ Island History: Gen’s family was an old farming family. They owned an orange grove that they maintained and then sold for profit. It had been in the family for many years and you could say that they knew everything about orange farming, but knew little about other things. Bored of the monotony of oranges, Gen’s father decided that to celebrate the birth of his first son, he would venture into the lemon and lime industries. All 3 being citrus fruits, he thought everything would be fine. On the day Gen was born, his father ran to the center of the field and excitedly planted a lemon tree. The tree had grown somewhere else and was transported in.
For months the tree grew fine, but during the spring of the next year, when the fruits should be sprouting, he noticed that on the lemon fruits, there were strange halo shaped scabs on the fruit. Knowing nothing about lemons, he assumed it would simply wash off when the fruit was picked. As the days went on, he noticed that the lemons were dropping from the tree prematurely and looked very unhealthy. At this point he knew something was wrong, but it was much too late. By summer, the entire grove was littered with oranges, all with the strange halo shaped scabs. His entire crop was ruined, and he had no idea why. Checking the neighboring fields, he noticed that no one else was having the same problem. In a panic, he contacted a specialist on citrus fruit to come check out the farm. With a sigh the professional told him, “This citrus canker is much too severe, I’m afraid that most, if not all, of these trees will die within the year. This was easily preventable had you checked the tree for similar halo shaped scabs on the leaves before planting it.” His life’s work having been destroyed due to his negligence, Gen’s father took his own life within the hour.
From then on, his mother made sure her son would ever make the same mistake. Every time Gen wanted a toy or a game, she would force him to research it and read the instructions several times before he could even touch it. Thinking this was normal, Gen grew up doing this with everything he encountered. In school, he would reread books hundreds of times, getting almost perfect grades in most subjects. The only things he struggled with were creative things like writing and art classes. He excelled in mathematics and geography. By the time he would have gone to secondary school, he decided to stay home and work to support his mother. Until then, a friend of his father had been helping support them by occasionally stopping by and helping with the farm which his mother had worked to the bone to restore.
Even when Gen was working on the farm, the man would occasionally stop by to say hi, and on one such occasion, he offered Gen a job. He would help him in the delivery business. The man’s own son had joined the marines, and as he was getting older, he needed a helping hand. Doing so would mean that the farm would shut down, but it also would mean more money. After saying goodbye to his mother, Gen headed for the center of town. Though technically residents of Orange Town, they were several hours away from the actual town. Very seldom had Gen been to the city, but he was excited. The first thing he did once he got to the man, David’s, house was find a town map and memorize all the town routes. He couldn’t go out on the streets unprepared. He also read a book on business management because he would also be taking care of the paperwork.
In the beginning, he wasn’t an actual deliveryman, he would just fill out paperwork on the boxes, or watch the counter for when customers came in to pick up or place delivery orders. In doing so, he became quite skilled in the ways of the merchant. He continued with the menial tasks in the office for several years until David was getting too old to continue his routes. It was finally his chance to shine. Grabbing David’s trusty old satchel, he packed it and set out onto the streets. Thanks to the maps, he knew every inch of this city... from above. Actually being out on the streets, he wandered slightly off the route and became completely lost. Even a small town like this could be confusing if you make a couple wrong turns. He wandered for several hours before finally getting back to the store. During his wanderings, he realized something. He wasn’t ready for the real world. For the next couple days, he took out his map, and went onto the streets, memorizing every sign, every corner, every alley, every address in the town until finally, with his eyes closed, he could get to any point with ease. Now he was prepared.
Confident in his ability to navigate the town, he once again set out into town to deliver his goods. Things went on without a hitch, in fact, quite the opposite, his deliveries were fast, ahead of time, and the customers were pleased. Business boomed under his care until one day, he got a request to head back out into the country for a delivery. He had been out of the town a couple of times on deliveries, but never to this area, though he knew where to go. Once he was getting close to the destination, he heard a noise from behind. Turning around, he noticed three armed men coming from behind a rock wall. “Hand it over” the tallest one said but Gen refused. “You sure that’s what you wanna do?” the man replied. Gen nodded his head. With a snap of the man’s fingers, they threw Gen to the ground and gave him quite a thrashing. Bruised both physically emotionally Gen slowly walked back to the shop. He had been so prepared and yet it wasn’t enough. If he couldn’t defend himself, or at least know how to avoid trouble, then he wouldn’t be able to ensure a successful delivery.
Taking this as a sign, Gen did something odd. Instead of learning how to fight, he decided to learn how to trick, rob and swindle people. Seeking out a local thug, he learned the underhanded ways of a thief. He would practice mugging people, or breaking into homes to steal things, always secretly returning the good of course, until it was second nature to him. Using this knowledge, he redrew the town maps, marking everything he knew; gang locations, common mugging places and the likes. Using these new maps he began again, and this time, truly without a hitch, business boomed. Taking the notice of an inter-blue mail service, they were quickly bought out and Gen became an official mail man.
For his new job, he would have to leave Organ island and travel across hundreds of islands in all the blues, and he was definitely not prepared. First off, he didn’t have the maps to study, and second off, he couldn’t leave his mother. One of these two dilemmas was already taken care of. In his years in the city, he had lost contact with home, and sitting on their old porch alone, his mother had passed away. Of course he didn’t know this, and upon his return home, he found an empty house and a new grave in the family plot. Being so occupied with his job, this hardly phased him. The second problem was a little more difficult. Maps of the blues were expensive enough and hardly reliable. There were hundreds of islands in the blues and to find an accurate map was close to impossible so Gen decided to make his own. He would just have to island hop, mapping out the cities on each island until his collection was complete, only then would he be ready to deliver across the world.
Starting from the surrounding islands, he began his journey when he began to notice a new problem; Pirates. At first it didn’t pose much of a problem, he would notice muggings at the ports but he was never affected by it. Once he reached the third island though, things changed. It was at the end of his time on the island when they were setting off. As soon as the docked out, a ship quickly approached them from behind and they were boarded by the pirates. Everyone was robbed but he had nothing of value on him, or so he thought. After they checked him they were about to leave but they noticed in one of his trunks that there were papers sticking out. On closer inspection, they realized that they were extremely detailed maps, and these were invaluable to the pirates. 5 months’ worth of work was taken from him in a single one hour takeover by pirates. Depressed, he stayed on the ship, forsaking his journey until he landed on an island that taught a peculiar form of martial arts. It was a nameless art passed down in a tribe on a jungle island in East Blue.
I say peculiar because it is not about attacking or defending incoming blows. In a sense, it is not a true martial art. Essentially, what it boils down too, is evading and running until they are to worn out to continue, then delivering a fatal blow, or just leaving all together. Due to his stature, Gen was exceptionally good at the art. He could avoid blows many larger men couldn’t and instead of dealing blows, he simply chose to run. He stayed on the island and trained for 3 years, in which time he studied every recorded form of the art, until he reached one scroll he did not understand. Imprinted on the scroll was a shape very similar to bananas but not quite the same. On the individual bananas were magnificent patterns and swirls, Gen had never seen such a thing in his life. Below the fruit shape, in the local language, was a simple phrase; curse of power. Asking the chief about it he learned that hidden in the islands jungle was a legendary fruit that granted magical powers but also cursed you. Even Gen knew of the devil fruit and knew this must be one of them. At first he had no desire to find it, but when he thought about the pirates, he needed every advantage he could get.
Setting off into the jungles, he began his search. Meticulously checking every bush and every tree for the fruit, he left no leaf unturned. He scoured the jungle, marking trees he had checked, and even marking stones he had flipped and ponds he had explored until nothing on the island was unmarked. Returning to the village he asked the chief about the fruit again and with a chuckle, the chief lifted a chest and revealed the entrance to a save. Too excited to be irritated with the man, he promptly entered the underground labyrinth. He was warned that many have entered but never returned because of the maze like qualities, Gen chuckled and procured a large spool of thread. He tied one end of it to the chest at the entrance and set off into the cave. He traveled around in the darkness for what seemed like days(they were) until he found a large room with roots hanging down from above. In the center of this room was a large pool of what appeared to be water but as he got closer it began to smell fowl, and he noticed that it wasn’t truly clear, but a slightly yellow liquid. As he sat there studying the pool, ripples shot across the surface as a drip had hit it from above. Looking up he saw it, the fruit was dangling from one of the roots, and was dripping the fowl liquid. Climbing up the nearby roots, he reached the top of the room and was able to pluck the fruit from its stem. Grasping it with one hand, he took a bite and immediately lost consciousness.
When Gen awoke, he was in the pool of liquid. With a strange grunt he tried to stand but couldn’t, he was stuck on all fours. With a slow crawl he climbed from the pool and looked around. He had no idea how long he had been unconscious so he just sat there for a moment thinking about what had happened. Coming up with nothing, he just decided to leave. Unable to use his hands, he picked the spool up with his mouth and followed it to the exit. The trip was much shorter the second time, and he noticed as he moved that he was galloping on all fours. It was a strange sensation. When he finally arrived in the chiefs room, he was greeted by a shocked chief “Th-theres a wild animal in here!” In a panic, Gen jumped up and looked around the room but found no animal. To his surprise he was back on two feet but the chief was just as scared. “What the hell are you?!” Looking down, gen noticed that his legs were not his own; he could control them but they belonged to a deer or something. He rested his hands on his head and felt small horns and with a shout he exclaimed “What the hell?” Almost as soon as he had shouted, the horns shrunk down into his head and his body morphed back to normal. The chief was slightly less afraid but still confused. “So you must have found the cursed fruit, well, this is both good and bad. You have gained tremendous power, but you can no longer stay here.” This didn’t matter to Gen. He had gotten his power, and it suited him perfectly, it was time to leave.
Instead of rushing off to continue with his maps, he first decided to study his abilities. Using his new powers he could turn into a deer like animal, more specifically, a Pronghorn, which he had discovered in his animal research. He could also turn into a hybrid form which comprised of deerlike legs, small horns on his head, and a slightly animalish face. In these forms, his stamina and ability to run were tremendously augmented, and considering his way of fighting, this suited him perfectly. It took about a year to fully integrate this into his martial arts, but, once accomplished he was ready to set out, and that’s exactly what he did. He continued his journey to map out the blues, never forgetting his goal of becoming a word class mail man, and after 30 years of traveling, he had his map collection almost complete. After this, he only had one problem left to fix. He was able to avoid pirates and such on his own, but when delivering heavy goods, or working with others, there would be little he could do to make a successful delivery were he to be attacked. To solve this, pirates would simply have to be eliminated, and with such thoughts in mind, he joined the marines, always looking forward to being a mailman. Abilities and Possessions Combat: Stemming from his training with a tribal village, he uses hit and run tactics….without the hitting. He closely watches the opponent’s movements and then reacts in a way to avoid said movements. He runs, runs, and runs some more. If he is particularly angry, he may stamp on them with his hooves, otherwise he just continuously runs until he has a chance to escape. Bubba
[-----] Account Name: [me] Basic Character Information Name: Leopold B. Chang Nickname: Bubba Age: 26 Gender: Male Race: Human Affiliation: Marine Rank (Commendations): Ensign(0) Achievements: - Profession: A Chef, Cook, Bartender or any other distinct related profession gives kitchen skills and knowledge about food, flavoring, ingredients, drink, and nutrients. With a chef on board, food upkeep costs are waived for the entire crew. They can also create foods which affect those who eat it, strengthening them. A Martial Artist is someone who specializes in hand-to-hand combat, completely or very close to unarmed. They usually have good insight in the aspects of weight, balance and movement of the body. Position: Chef Physical Appearance Height: 7’2” Weight: 434 Lbs. Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Clothing/Accessories: Bubba does not wear much, as not many cloths fit his tremendous size. He wears a very loose fitting pair of striped shorts. The shorts are white with red stripes. The shorts are worn, and the color is starting to fade. He also wears a red hair tie, and always keeps a few spare. Tucked into his back pockets are two oven mitts that he uses to cook. They are a pail blue. Bubba also owns a standard issue marine uniform, but standard issue isn't big enough for him, so the only times he wears it is during ceremonies. General Appearance: Bubba is a man of large proportions to say the least. Not only is he tall, but he is quite obese. Most would say he's unhealthy based on how he looks, but he is a sumo wrestler. His weight is his pride and he wouldn't have it any other way. Despite is generally kind personality, Bubba has a pretty fearsome face. He isn't one for smiling, so he is constantly expressing a pretty apathetic look. The problem with this is that the contours of his face make it seem like he's constantly scowling. To make matters worse, when he was a child, his parents had markings tattooed just below his eyes as a sort of tradition. They are red, and strike down diagonally away from his eyes. Bubba also sports very thick eyebrows. These eyebrows are quite angular and add to the scowling face he always appears to be making. The Character Personality:Bubba fits the stereotype of the 'gentle giant' quite well. One, he is huge, and two, he is fairly peaceful. Bubba is an incredibly passive man. He does not actively seek combat, and he isn't very confrontational with words. In fact, he doesn't use his words much. He's content to sit around and let others do all the talking while he relaxes or munches on some snacks. That is not to say he won't react if he is assaulted or wronged in some way, but he's not a battle hungry fool either. He just goes with the flow, letting things happen and reacting to them appropriately. Bubba used to be quite insecure about his weight, but now he is quite proud of it. No amount of ridicule about being fat or large can phase him. Being a sumo, his gut is a defining characteristic of him, and he loves it. When people do happen to mess with him about it, he just responds with a deep hearty laugh and moves on with his life. Another factor of his size is his love of eating. He simply loves to eat. Bubba doesn't care what it is, fancy or simple, but eating is one of the greatest pleasures in his life. Food is yummy. While peaceful, and passive, Bubba still practices a combat style. This may sound a bit hypocritical, but it has its reasons. Bubba loves his fighting style as much as he loves to eat. It is just something he does, and can't get enough of it. It keeps him disciplined, it keeps him 'healthy' and it makes him feel good. Knowing how to fight doesn't make someone violent, it just means they know how to fight. If he doesn't run around attacking people, then he's still a peaceful man. Hometown: Near Shimotsuki Village, East Blue History: Bubba was born fairly close to Shimotsuki Village, where all the kids he grew up around trained in the ways of the sword. At first, Bubba also attempted to practice swordsmanship but quit due to constant ridicule about his weight and height, he soon quit. Staying in his home, he learned to cook from his mother and made very few friends. He loved fatty foods, and he learned to make several different flavors of assorted snacks, and soon, his weight grew very quickly. He tripled in size over a very short period of time, and for this he was only greeted with more taunting and teasing. Bubba probably would have given up on life as a whole if not for a book that was given to him by one of the sword instructors. It was an in depth instruction manual on an old form of martial arts that he had found in his travels. The manual spoke of colossal men, who were not only tall, but heavy, and they used this large weight for their combat. Bubba was enthralled by this book, and began practicing its contents. Though the instructor was a swordsman, he knew discipline and conditioning. In that regard, he was able to teach Bubba, as bubba continued learning from the book. Also contained within the old pages were recipes for incredibly unhealthy food, with the intent of fattening up warriors quickly. Everything about this book gave Bubba immense enjoyment, and completely cured his former depression. He was soon confident and happy with his life, and he was able to make friends. Though they still joked about his weight, he simply turned the other cheek. A marine who was stationed within his home town was quite impressed with not only his large stature, but his humble and kind nature. After a brief introduction, he invited Bubba to the marines. At first Bubba was hesitant, but then he got to thinking. If in his small town he could find such a great hobby, there must be many more out there on the seas. With this notion in his head, he joined the marines and set out to sea to broaden his horizons. It wasn't nearly as great as the marine had made it sound. He was only at sea for a short while before he was stationed on a small island as a simple officer. All he was meant to do was solve small situations that may occur in the rural village. Bubba may be a passive guy, but he wanted to learn new things, not sit in one spot for the rest of his life. He needed some excitement in his life, and may very soon act on this impulse. The small island he was stationed on is Gecko Island, where he currently resides in a small home with a few other marines. It is a very inactive life. Abilities and Possessions Combat: Bubba is a very large man, and he uses his size to his advantage in combat. He is a Sumo Wrestler which is a combat style that utilizes his weight very well. Typically, a sumo wrestler stays low to the ground and takes quick steps to generate momentum. Using this momentum, they strike, lift, throw, bump into, any number of things they can use their weight for. The art does not have many, if any, leg techniques, generally relying on the arms for strikes and grabbing the enemy. There are a few stomps that they do, but due to the difficulty of lifting their legs high, these aren't frequently used. That One Guy
[[flash=75,9]http://www.youtube.com/v/BsYm2OirzX8?version=3&enablejsapi=1&showinfo=0&fs=0[/flash]] Account Name: [me] Basic Character Information Name: Reeno Pythagoras aka Reeno G. Fist Nickname: That one guy Age: 26 Gender: Male Race: Human Affiliation: Pirate Bounty: 5,000,000 Achievements:Wanted for the murder of multiple hospital patients Suspected in the mysterious deaths of other patients in the past Profession:A Doctor, on a ship or otherwise, gains large medical knowledge. They also do not need to pay upkeep on the drugs/poisons they use. The Assassin profession gives stealth skills, the ability to move silently through areas without being detected. It also gives general poison knowledge, as well as skills with a small weapon such a dagger. An Assassin generally has little actual combat experience, since their victims don't fight back, and as such don't fare that well in a true fight. Position: Surgeon Physical Appearance Height: 6'0.5" Weight: 176 Lbs. Hair: White/Very light grey Eyes: A very pale brown, almost rosy brown in color Clothing/Accessories:Reeno wears cloths that tend to stick out a bit. Contrary to his reserved personality, he hates the feeling of not being seen. One of the most notable items of apparel is the dark grey mask he wears. It is in the shape of a gas mask, and is a tad eerie. It is large, covering his whole face, and makes it hard to see his eyes. Below that, he wears a bright neon green/yellow scarf. Again, this bright, flashy, odd piece of apparel is worn for the sole purpose of drawing attention to himself. Reeno always sports a bright white lab coat, bleached to near blinding. Below the lab coat is a shirt that is a tad more fancy, being a button up undershirt, and it is also white. While odd, this white on white combination fits the role of weird and attention grabbing. On each hand Reeno wears a white dress glove. Also on his right hand is a silver bracelet. For pants Reeno wears a simple pair of denim jeans, which clashe with his nicer undershirt, and professional lab coat. He wears a white belt to hold them up. His shoes are also white, with black laces crisscrossing up the front. His pants are tucked into his shoes. General Appearance:Reeno has a rather dapper build. Not too fat, not too skinny. Lightly toned, but not too bulky. Completely moderate in every regard, except for one. His face is one part of his body that fall just above average, leaning towards that of a lady killer. The combination of his fair skin, and pretty face give him an air of sophistication, but he is not of high quality upbringing. Due to his often expressionless face, he can appear distant, or disconnected from reality. You would not be wrong in making such an assumption. His eyes are generally dazed, staring off into space even when talking to people. Due to his lack of 'character' or uniqueness, his face is quickly forgotten by those he meets. Aside from how he dresses, his appearance doesn't leave much of an impression. The Character Personality: Reeno is a man of many complexes, most of which were inspired by life events. Unlike your average strong willed individuals who are able to overcome their complexes, Reeno is defined by them. He lets them control every aspect of his life because he is an unwillful, weak minded individual. His biggest complex is about attention. He loves attention, but he doesn't like to work for it. He doesn't speak much, he isn't loud, he doesn't dance, joke or do anything entertaining. He is simply a plain acting person, but he still wants attention. His solution to this dilemma was to wear flashy cloths, and look generally weird while doing it. Another of his complexes is about his family. He had left them once, and the last time he heard of their whereabouts was when the island was buster called. Because of this, he has severe attachment issues. He likes to act distant to his only remaining family, but when they leave his vision, he gets panicky and rushes after them. Luckily, his remaining family can fend for themselves, which alleviates some of his paranoia. A rather dark side to him is his utter lack of sympathy to those he doesn't know. Being a doctor, you may think he has at least remotely like strangers, but he sees them as nothing more than guinea pigs or sources of income. To him, money, and family surpass all other things in his line of importance. A tertiary thing that he finds important is perfection of his arts. His 'arts' being assassination and the production of poison. He has long held a fascination for poison, a simple drop of fluid that could drop a giant in an instant. Making such a monstrous toxin would be a dream come true. Something that branches off the strongest toxin, would be the strongest medicine. Something that could bring someone from near death to a state of relative good health is also amazing. Aside from his apparent complexes, and sadism, Reeno is a rather simple person. He eats, he sleeps, he goes to work, he loves his family. Any average person would find that a respectable living. Unfortunately, his negative characteristics overshadow his positive ones leaving the world with a rather twisted individual. An individual who tests toxins on people, murders patients in hospitals, dreams of creating the most powerful poison ever, and is a generally mean spirited individual. Good luck world. Hometown: G. Fist Island, Grand Line History:Due to a pre-birth stroke of bad luck, Reeno was born into a rowdy, violent, idiotic group of pirates called the Golden Fists. They were so flamboyant and gaudy that they even named the island G. Fist Island. Due to his inherently quiet, and weak nature, Reeno didn't fit in at all. The other children there were all heathens who punched, and kicked, and scratched each other into fearful submission. Reeno had no intentions of ever becoming like them. He was a more scheming, and conniving individual. If you want to commit crimes, and get rich, then you do it subtly. What you don't do is parade around the seas on a giant ship causing havoc, and drawing attention from the authorities. As soon as Reeno could, he fled the island, and changed his name. He became Reeno Pythagoras, working his way into an innocent family. Falling prey to his dark intentions, they welcomed him into their family, arms open and raised him as one of their own. Reeno used this period of time to develop. He went to school, obtaining good grades, and scholarly attention. He graduated from the common schools for children, and enrolled in a private academy for wealthier people. This put a huge strain on his make shift family, but it was none of his concern. They were merely a host for him to drain until he was done with them. Once again, Reeno passed through school with ease, and moved on to a much more specialized place of learning. A hospital. At first, Reeno simply worked under one of the senior doctors, doing simple tasks, learning about medicine, and observing surgeries. As time passed, Reeno picked up on many of the skills, and was soon on par with his master. He learned many forms of wound cleaning, studied hundreds of medicines and their effects, and learned to generally take care of people. The first step in his get rich plan was complete. This was when Reeno's dark intentions began to come forth. Looking around the town where he was living, he found where the unsavory men went to relax and drink. These were to become his clients. He quickly negotiated a simple relationship where if their enemies ever ended up in the hospital, they would 'not make it' in exchange for money. This plan worked wonders for Reeno as the pay was large, and the chances of getting caught were slim. They simply appeared as the average mistakes that were common in large hospitals. A simple mis-injection, an incorrect mark on a chart, or a failed surgery. Some people just didn't make it under his care. In return, he made profit, and was able to test various 'medicines' on patients that he was to kill. They were going to die anyways, who cares if he tests poisons on him? This lifestyle would have lasted longer, if not for a bit of news that shattered his world. He had completely severed connections with his real family under the impression that he could visit them anytime he wanted. As if intending to shatter this belief, his home island was buster called, all but wiping the G. Fist family out of existence. With news of their demise, Reeno snapped. Using the large supply of medicine at the hospital, Reeno went on a spree of injecting vicious cocktails into whoever he came into contact with. He made it through a few random patients before others caught on, but it was too late. He was already fleeing from the island, stowed away upon some random ship. Not knowing what to do next, he simply wandered around, avoiding pursuers and keeping a low profile. In this wanderlust state, he heard of a revived G. Fist group. They were near, and they were active. The Golden Fists had survived, and this took a load of strain off his mind. Using whatever resources he had at his disposal, he tracked down this crew, and set off after them. His only intentions were to reunite with them, and never let them slip away. Abilities and Possessions Combat: Reeno doesn't so much practice a combat style, but a way of hurting others without getting caught. Being an assassin, he isn't that good at combat, rather, he likes to come in at opportune times to finish off wounded foes. This almost always includes some sort of poison. He can also be a bit of a trickster, using his devil fruit abilities to wreak havoc on the battlefield by making things appear, and disappear. [c] Unlucky Intersection-6 Type:Offensive Range:Melee [c] Description: Reeno becomes invisible and stands completely straight. He remains extremely still with his arms bent at the elbow, lifted just in front of his chest. He has a blade in each hand. While in this position, he simply waits for someone to brush past, and when they do, he quickly strikes out with a blade, before bringing his arms back in front of him. Its is even less effective on dense materials such as metals. It will remain invisible for as long as he is in contact with it, or until he lets it appear. The area inside this 'circle' becomes invisible, to a depth of 16 inches and a diameter of 12 inches. On a wall, it would look as if there is a large hole. On the ground, it appears as a mildly deep pothole. It is less effective on dense materials such as metals. The surface remains invisible for as long as Reeno is in contact with it, or until he lets it appear. [c]Watch Your Step-12(8+4) Branched from [Is That A Hole?] Type:Utility Range:Melee [c]Description: Reeno places his hands on a surface such as a wall or the ground, with his hands wide apart. If you were to draw connecting lines between his thumbs and index fingers, it would form a large circle. On a wall, the 'circle' would be even wider than [Is That A Hole?]. On the ground, it would also appear wider, and can be as deep as 28 inches, with a diameter of 24 inches. It is less effective on dense materials such as metals. The surface remains invisible for as long as Reeno is in contact with it, or until he lets it appear. What it does is cause the walls of the stomach to contract very abruptly, causing pain. The stomach will contract 2-3 times before relaxing. Reeno starts threads with 2 vials of this poison. The poison can be ingested by the victim or placed on a weapon to enter through wounds. The contractions occur within a single post. [/table] [/b]-4 [Special TP] Type:Creation Range:Self [c] Description: Numb is a local anesthetic that causes the area around where it is applied to become numb. Reeno starts each thread with 2 vials of Numb. It can be applied in several different ways such as being poured on a wound, injected with a syringe or coating a weapon before striking. They both provide stealth capabilities, though a Thief gains lockpicking skills instead of poison knowledge, can generally know their way around the ways of barter and trade, and pickpocketing. Thieves don't have it hard to find 'underground info' in most cities, either. Thieves will gain an extra 10% in Beli rewards in all Storylines they complete (for themselves). A Smith is a man or woman who makes weapons and tools out of metal. Generally swords, since they fetch the best price, but it is in no way limited to this. Making cannons and parts for inventors is also part of their business, and they also get good knowledge within metallurgy. A much more general fighter-type profession, a Weapon Specialist is someone who has to a large or small degree devoted his/her life to the mastery of a single weapon or weapon type, such as Swords, Axes or Whips. This profession applies generally to melee weapons. A Carpenter is someone who makes a living off building things, from mainly but not limited to, wood. With the times being as they are, most carpenters build ships, but there are also those who instead possess the knowledge of making better buildings and such, as well as smaller items that they craft. Position: - Physical Appearance Height: 5'7" Weight: 129 Lbs. Hair: Blonde hair with a small tuft tied up behind his head Eyes: A clear blue/turquoise Clothing/Accessories:Tod wears a long sleeved white collar shirt, with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. On top of this, he wears a blue collared vest, with a white section on the front. There is a red lace pattern going up this white section. On his neck he wears a red choker, and a similarly red wrist band on his left wrist. As for his legs, he wears a simple pair of red shorts that hand just below the knee. From his upper shins down, Tod wears a tall pair of leather boots that have red criss-cross laces. He also owns a mask with a clown pattern on it, but he only wears this on occasion. General Appearance: Tod has a very innocent and fragile looking appearance. His skin is pale, smooth, making it seem quite delicate. His face is almost child like with his pale blonde hair, and wide blue eyes. Everything about him could be compared to a pampered noble child. His body overall is relatively thin, with his arms being quite narrow. While skinny, they are deceptively strong. He has a lot of lean muscle, as apposed to large muscles with explosive power. His legs are also deceptively powerful, though to a lesser extent because they are not quite as thin. As for expressions, he is generally quite plain, with a mildly quizzical look upon his face. His posture is often poor, him being slightly hunched over, and his arms and legs swinging haphazardly. The Character Personality: Tod is a very simple and straight forward person, almost to the point of being stupid. He hates things that or over complex or that he can't understand, and instead, will always choose the simpler choice, even if it is harder to do. For example, instead of setting an ambush and waiting for whoever it is he is fighting to approach, he would rather just walk forward and confront them. This would obviously be harder and more dangerous, but it takes less planning and forethought to do. This is just the kind of person he is (though if he was smart enough to think up such things or at least comprehend them, he'd probably be a lot different). Similar to his simple thought processes, he also has simple emotions. Namely, he displays happiness, anger, and most often, a neutral expression. Anything beyond that, and he doesn't quite understand what he's feeling, which frustrates him, and he once again falls back on one of the three simple emotions. Despite being capable of this range of emotions, his face quite often remains neutral, or mildly confused. Not for any particular reason, he just forgets to change expressions sometimes. One thing that will always prompt his anger and hatred is pirates. He doesn't go out of his way to find them, but should he see them and know he's seeing them, he will go on a rampage. Hometown: Alabasta, Grand Line History:Tod grew up with a very simple life, if not a little on the destitute and poor side of the spectrum. His mother had died giving birth to him, so he grew up with a very grumpy and aggressive father, who no doubt harbored ill intent for his son. They had been a middle class family prior to his birth, but with his mothers death came his fathers depression. His dad could no longer effectively support the two of them with his smithing, so they were often without food or clean cloths. This didn't bother Tod as he grew up, because he had all the happy innocence of a child. He never really wanted anything growing up, which lessened the burden on his father. When he was old enough to use his hands, his dad finally livened up enough to work the forge, just barely. They could get by, but they still had no extra money to spend. Tod worked in the shop with his dad, and spent most of his time there, though he wasn't paid for the work. He didn't have money, but this never bothered him until his mid teens. Over the years, he had noticed from afar the circus that came to town every once in awhile. It wasn't until he was 15 that he caught a glimpse of the wonderful spectacle. It was full of happiness and cheer, and the colors were mesmerizing for the young man who had never asked for anything in his life. It was finally something that he needed money for, but there was no way they could afford it, so he sank to rather sketchy means. Tod would spend any free time he could get walking the streets, and snatching money from pockets to slowly save up for a single night of enjoyment that he had long dreamed of. It took a long time, as he was caught often, and ended up handing off more money than he had made, but over the years he eventually had enough. He was going to the circus, and not only that, he could finally replace the ragged cloths that currently adorned him. He went into a mediocre cloths shop, and picked out things he thought looked nice for him to wear. His attire looked a bit silly, but he didn't care. It was the first time he had ever been able to spend freely like this and he was enjoying it. With the rest of his money, he went into the ticket booth, bought a ticket, and then sat himself in the stands. His heart raced as lights shifted around the opening in the center before the performance. More people piled into the many seats as the show drew closer to opening. He could feel the sweat on his palms as the man in red went out into the center of the arena, with a cone in his hand to speak into. The show was just about to begin, but something went astray. The lights went out, and there was a scream near the entrance. A group of shady men entered the arena and walked quickly through the audience taking anything that looked valuable. They walked right past Tod, sitting quietly in his seat, watching as all this transpired. He wasn't sure if this was the show, or something else, so he waited patiently for the rest of the show to start, but it never did. The scary men left, and soon the announcer told everyone the show was canceled, and that there was no refund because the booth had been robbed. Tod sat in the seat, stunned until most of the people in the place had left. One of the clowns noticed him sitting there all by himself, and walked over to great him. The clown was a very kind and gentle man who understood why Tod was so depressed. In an act of kindness, he took off his clown mask and handed it to Tod, before ruffling his hair, and helping him towards the exit. Once he got moving, Tod snapped out of his dazed state, and walked ahead of the clown, speeding up to a jog. He felt a burning sensation in his gut, and lips parted revealing a snarl. He was quite furious at the moment. Running to his house, he grabbed a simple iron rod, then turned towards the docks. The pirates weren't very cautious, and were still at the docks causing a ruckus. Tod wasted no time closing in on them, and jumping quite confidently onto their ship. The men stared at him for a moment in surprise, not quite sure what was happening. Their questioning gazes were soon answered as Tod brought the metal rod crashing down on one of the men's heads. There was a dull thud as the guy crumpled to the ground. There was shouting and grunts as blood splattered across the deck of the ship, but soon there was only a single person left standing. For the simple act of ruining a circus, they had crushed Tod's dreams, and so he had taken their lives. A new found hatred for pirates was embedded in Tod's heart, and he knew he couldn't passively sit in this town, so he didn't. He went to the forge, grabbed his things, and set sail on the very ship he had just invaded, ready for the adventure of his lifetime. Abilities and Possessions Combat:Tod's way of fighting is pretty easy to understand. He holds a weapon, and he hits things. It is very simple, and since the dawn of time, has been very effective for mankind. Weapons hurt. Weapons hurt a lot. So Tod runs into the midst of combat and swings his bat around as hard as he can hoping to hit things, and defeat them. [-----] Account Name: [me]Basic Character Information Name: China Doll Nickname: - Age: 18 Gender: Male Race: Human Affiliation: Other(Freedom Fighter) Bounty: 0 Achievements: He is/was a slave! Professions:An inventor is a man or woman with knowledge in how various mechanical devices work. They have good insight in how blueprints work, and can upgrade weapons, build explosives and battle engines if they have enough materials.Inventors don’t need to pay upkeep for their gadgets that they use in battle. They will also get a 20% discount on any technological upgrades they make to their own weapons. Bring it up with a moderator when upgrading to see if the discount applies. The profession of Marksman provides sound experience and insight in calculating range, distance and wind elements and their impact on the path of a projectile. It is a general trait that applies to guns, slingshots, cannons, rifles and the like. People without this profession will have little to no luck in firing cannonballs where they are supposed to go under normal battle conditions. A Martial Artist is someone who specializes in hand-to-hand combat, completely or very close to unarmed. They usually have good insight in the aspects of weight, balance and movement of the body. Position: - Physical Appearance Height: 5'6" Weight: 127 Lbs. Hair: Brown Eyes: Grey Clothing/Accessories:China doesn't wear much, mainly because he can't afford much. Selva Island is also very hot so he is accustomed to wearing very little cover. His typical(and only owned outfit) is a black beanie perched atop his head, and an old warn out pair of jeans. He doesn't wear a shirt, socks or shoes. One article of clothing that he does make sure to purchase is undergarments. He makes a point to change his boxers daily which is a convenience that most people from his village can't afford. General Appearance: China has a moderately small build. He is smaller than others from his tribe, especially those of his age group. His body is evenly toned from physical labor, and his skin is tanned. On both of his shoulders he has black tattoos that extend down onto his chest and forearms. He also has a green tattoo design below his left eye. His face generally has an apathetic expression, due to the repercussions of seeming too happy or depressed while working as a slave. His movements and mannerisms are very relaxed and efficient. When you work as a slave, you quickly learn which posture causes the least soreness the next day. The Character Personality: China is a very shrewd individual. He tends to stay serious and unassuming to avoid the critical eye of abusive slave owners. If he were be too expressive, he'd be noticed immediately and likely be unjustly punished for some menial thing. Underneath his monotone expressions and behaviors, his thoughts are running rampant. His thoughts often turn to theory and creativity. Being an inventive individual, he likes to imagine contraptions and tools he can make to make his life easier. He almost never acts on these creative impulses, but they occupy his mind, taking it off his dreary life. Occasionally, his thoughts turn to his past, when his life was happy, and the tribe was flourishing. These thoughts are almost always followed by depression. China is pretty good at staying calm, but there are a few things that can set him off. One of these things is oppression and slavery. Being a slave himself, he knows exactly how bad it is, and on occasion, when a guard/visitor to the island or someone else takes slavery lightly, he will lose his wits and become obtrusive. Luckily, he is so small and pathetic that a kick or two is enough to shut him up. Another thing that makes him lose his calm is when people badmouth his 'family'. China considers his entire tribe, and close friends from outside the tribe as his family. If he sees anything happening to them right in front of him, he finds it hard to restrain himself. Aside from these two major triggers, there is very little that disrupts his rational thought. Hometown: Selva Island, South Blue History: Life was simple for China on the island of Selva. Centered on the island was a close knit tribe of villagers. Surrounding and supporting this village was a massive jungle that covered the entire island. From this jungle, the village could procure anything they needed and never have to worry about running out. They would take from nature and give back by making sure to plant seeds and protect the animal life from the occasional hunter from other lands. It was in this wonderful and peaceful tribe that China was born. Of course, China was not his original name, in fact, he was born without a name. His father had died a few months before he was born in an unfortunate accident, and his mother died giving birth to him, so there was no one left to name him. It was from this tragic origin that China began. The village was unaware of what had happened for several days until someone noticed that China's mother hadn't been around in awhile. It had been a week since China had been born before they were worried enough to check in on her, and found the young baby boy China on the verge of death at the edge of the bed. With quick acting, and intensive care by the village, China survived and managed to live as a child of the entire village. He lived on, being passed around from household to household. It was from this lifestyle that he derived much of his personality. In gratitude for all the kindness he received, he became manipulative, and aimed to please the families by acting as the ideal child. He ignored the things he wanted in order to make those around him happy, and that was enough for him to feel fulfilled, even though he was a small child. He lived happily like this until he was 7 years old. It was around this time that everything seemed to collapse. All the happiness was quickly sucked from his life, and he became stark and seemingly emotionless. What happened was a rich merchant from distant lands stumbled upon the island, and instead of seeing the island for its natural beauty, he saw it for the materials hidden below the ground. With a simple permit from the world government, the merchant encroached upon the island, using his wealth to hire violent mercenaries. These harsh men pressed on through the wilderness of the island, killing the animals and trampling upon the vegetation, until they found the village. The men subdued the village quickly and painfully, killing anyone who was out of line. With the tribe under control, the merchant saw use for the strong but simple people. Ideal slaves. Pressed on by ruthless greed, the merchant forced the tribesman to tear down their precious forests. The material was to be used to build an elegant and vast mansion. The work was hard and slow as the people tried to work at a slow pace to preserve them home for just a day longer, but fists, whips and blades quickly changed their pace. For three years they were forced to ruin their lands, and pillage the earth until fragments of the once massive jungle remained. The house was grand, but hated, and more than a few bodies were beneath its foundation. It was around this time that China grew very ill. His skin paled, to an almost white complexion, and his heart beat slowed to a dismal pace. It seemed likely he would die, and with the harsh treatment of the slaves, there was little hope for him. Seemingly a miracle, a chance encounter would save his life. While working in one of the mansions many gardens, China could feel his chest ache, and his breaths become heavy, until suddenly, he collapsed. While unconscious on the ground, his small body avoided detection by the overseers. He would have died, cold and alone in the gardens, if he wasn't saved by a young girl. The lady was no older than 15, and her dress indicated high status in this household. She was none other than the merchants daughter. China was ten years old, but had the countenance of a much younger child, and she mistook him for one. Calling for some guards, she had China escorted into the mansions private medical facilities where China was treated like an actual person. Many a times, China was shown contempt and and obvious dislike by many of the mansion staff, but the pure and innocent girl would not let him be mistreated. Once he had recovered a decent extent, the girl asked his name. Thinking back, China honestly couldn't reply, as he had simply been called 'young one' or 'child' by the village. The girl, noting his appearance while he was sick, said he had looked like a small porcelain doll, so she named him China Doll. China relished this time where he could lay back, and eat real food while in the company of a pleasant young girl, but he also felt guilt. He felt bad that he was receiving such good treatment while his friends and family suffered and died due to famine. With a heartfelt goodbye, he left the mansion and returned to his people. He hated the visitors, he hated the merchant, he hated the guards, but he couldn't bring himself to hate the young girl. It hurt him to know that eventually she was become aware of her fathers cruelty, and probably grow into the same kind of wretched person. Back with his own kind, China grew more and more intelligent and creative, tinkering with small gadgets that he could easily hide from the guards, and practicing his skill with a blow dart gun that he carved with one of the few remaining trees available to his village. For several years, China lied this life of servitude, hardening his emotions, and just taking the punishments as they came, all the while hoping that it would eventually end and they could go free. Abilities and Possessions Combat:China isn't the biggest fellow, so he has to rely on wit and skill to win fights. He has done so by making his own blow gun and special darts that can be used in a variety of ways. He isn't one for big battles and prefers guerrilla combat, where he skirts the edges of combats and attacks quickly before backing out. A benefit of his size is that he can sneak around and fit in smaller spaces which adds to his form of combat by giving him more versatility. Weaponry:A 3'6" wooden tube with an oddly shaped channel through the center. The channel is shaped so that only China's specially made darts fit inside. Generally swords, since they fetch the best price, but it is in no way limited to this. Making cannons and parts for inventors is also part of their business, and they also get good knowledge within metallurgy. A smith is proficient in any melee weapon they make, and have no maximum rank limit for martial techniques involving these weapons. They have access to certain additional traits as well. A Martial Artist is someone who specializes in hand-to-hand combat, completely or very close to unarmed. They usually have good insight in the aspects of weight, balance and movement of the body. The Navigator profession gives knowledge about reading sea charts, currents and weather, reading the stars for a position and a lot of practical ship knowledge, too. Plotting a course along with the related mathematics, all of these are part of the Navigator's job. A navigator may move to an adjacent path when advancing forward one island on the grand line. This bonus applies even when navigator is not the primary profession. He hates things that are over complex or that he can't understand, and instead, will always choose the simpler choice, even if it is harder to do. One thing that will always prompt his anger and hatred is Marines. He doesn't go out of his way to find them, but should he see them and know he's seeing them, he will go on a rampage. Hometown: Alabasta, Grand Line History:Tod grew up with a very simple life, if not a little on the destitute and poor side of the spectrum. His mother had died giving birth to him and his twin, so he grew up with a very grumpy and aggressive father, who no doubt harbored ill intent for his sons. When he and his brother were old enough to use their hands, his dad finally livened up enough to work the forge, just barely. They could get by, but they still had no extra money to spend. His brother worked in the shop with his dad, and spent most of his time there, though he wasn't paid for the work. Meanwhile, Tod wandered aimlessly through town, sometimes getting into trouble. It was finally something that he needed money for, but there was no way they could afford it, so he sank to rather sketchy means, along with his brother. One of the clowns noticed him sitting there all by himself, and walked over to greet him. Running to his house, he grabbed a simple iron rod, then turned towards the only marine station in the area. The marines were lazing about haphazardly on some of the benches in front of the place. Tod wasted no time closing in on them, and jumping quite confidently onto one of the benches. The men stared at him for a moment in surprise, not quite sure what was happening. Their questioning gazes were soon answered as Tod brought the metal rod crashing down on one of the men's heads. There was a dull thud as the guy crumpled to the ground. There was shouting and grunts as blood splattered across the sidewalks, but soon there was only a single person left standing. These idiot marines had allowed some jerks to ruin the circus, and they didn't even do anything about it. Tod's dreams were ruined, so he had decided to take their lives. A new found hatred for marines was embedded in Tod's heart, and he knew he couldn't passively sit in this town, so he didn't. He went to the forge, grabbed his things, and set sail on a scraggly ship he made on the spot, ready for the adventure of his lifetime. [-----] Account Name: [me] Basic Character Information Name: Jack Newman Nickname: Julian Age: 23 Gender: Male Race: Human Affiliation: Other(Criminal) Bounty: 0 Achievements: N/A Profession:A Doctor, on a ship or otherwise, gains large medical knowledge. Suturing and cleaning wounds, making bandages out of various materials and preparing drugs, is all part of a Doctor's job. Doctors are the only ones capable of healing serious injuries on the crew. Doctors have the ability to create drugs and toxins that can buff allies or debuff enemies. They also do not need to pay upkeep on the drugs/poisons they use. A Martial Artist is someone who specializes in hand-to-hand combat, completely or very close to unarmed. They usually have good insight in the aspects of weight, balance and movement of the body. Position: Jekyll Physical Appearance Height: 5' 9" Weight: 152 Hair: Short, Unkempt, White Eyes: Light Blue, Grayish Clothing/Accessories:Julian doesn't like to look too fancy. He keeps his apparel fairly simple. He wears a white wife beater, that fits tightly to his chest. Even if it's fairly cold out, he will tough it out and wear the wife beater. On his hands, he wears a thick pair of black leather gloves. They are tight fitting, and well insulated. As far as legwear goes, he wears a worn pair of blue jeans. Adorning the brown cowhide belt that circles his waist is a large gunmetal belt buckle with a skull on it. For shoes, he wears an old pair of brown leather work boots. They are pretty shitty boots, but they are comfortable and that's all he cares about. General Appearance: Julian isn't very tall, and he's not that big, so he may not seem too noticeable, but he has a very serious, and dark undertone that makes him a bit intimidating to be around. His light hair creates some contrast with his deep, inset eyes, that cast a shadow down his cheeks. There are dark rings under his eyes that seem to stem from lack of sleep. His mouth is generally in a sly grin, but considering the rest of his face, is fairly off-putting. He has scruffy facial hair on his cheeks, and jawline, but it doesn't grow in above his lip. One ear has a distinct tear in it from when an earring was forcibly yanked out. There is a deep scar running from above to below his right eye. There is no damage to the eye itself. His neck is muscular, and makes his head look a tad small. His shoulders are also a bit wide for his height. His chest is well toned, and shows through quite well due to his utter lack of body fat. Similarly, his arms are toned, but this is due to his lack of fat that makes what little muscle he has quite noticeable. His arms are relatively plain, and smooth. Hair is near his upper arm, and upper wrist, but as you approach his hands, it suddenly stops. Along with the lack of hair, his hands and lower wrist have a dark red, almost fleshy tone. They are usually covered by gloves so it's hard to notice. His legs are slender, and don't show very much through his baggy jeans. His feet are pretty standard, but he is missing the pinky toes on both feet, with only gnarly lumps of scar tissue remaining. The Character Personality: Have you ever had a hobby, or activity, or maybe just something you liked so much that you couldn't go more than a day or two without it? Running, cooking, maybe just eating ice cream or something like that? For Julian, that's tracking down, drugging, and torturing other humans. It's a minor pastime of his, but he just can't do without it, or he goes crazy. He's just very involved in the things he loves. It's not unreasonable for anyone to go a little crazy if they don't do what they love. For Julian though, throughout several years of his life, he could not do what he loved to do, and it was very hard on him. Now, it doesn't just make him negative and depressed when he doesn't partake in his preferred activities, he is literally only happy while he is on the hunt. At all other points in time, while intelligent, he is a babbling mass of violence, chaos, and he's a little bit of a dick. Though, despite all of his grumpiness, he does have a soft spot for a certain someone. A certain cannibalistic, suave, charming man, with an equally insatiable lust for the slaughter of man; his 'brother' Ricky. Now, their relation is not always smooth sailing. They butt heads, they disagree, and they don't look at all like brothers. They aren't actually brothers either, but Julian doesn't know that. He has been told that Ricky is his brother, and thus he believes it. Not because he is dumb, but because of the man who told him. Julian has long been under the effect of sedatives and heavy hypnotism that has effectively rewritten his memories. It has also altered his rationality, and virtually removed his inhibitions. He is not aware that he has been 'changed' and he probably wouldn't care if he was. Now that he can freely commit heinous acts, he no longer has to suffer, being unable to fulfill his cravings, so he can enjoy himself. Some things Julian likes are Ricky, murder, slaughter, blood, organs, screams, blood again, classical music, drugs, poisons, ice cream, meat, candy, and torture. Some things that Julian dislikes are his dad, his mom, needles, straight jackets, small rooms, being tied up, vegetables, most fruits, bread, rock music, country music, children, small animals and the color green. Generally, people won't hunt things they dislike, so Julian tends to not go after children. This makes sense too. You wouldn't see him hunting after broccoli or anything like that. That'd be gross. Broccoli sucks. OH, and he also doesn't like staring people in the eyes. He especially hates it when they have bloodshot eyes, or they touch their eyes or anything like that. When they do, he rubs his, and then his get all red, and then it's just a big mess. It's easier to just not stare into peoples eyes. Hometown: Gray Town, Gray Island, North Blue History: "Hnnngh hnnngh hnngh hnngh hnngh," "Ahnnnnn~" It was around this moment that Julian was conceived. Yep, just like that. He was right done conceived. A couple years later, and he was a little bit growed up too. A dapper young boy, full of spunk. At this point in time, everyone thought he was normal. His mother still smiled, hid dad was still alive, and no one else had been hurt. If only things could have continued like this forever. Leave it to fate to screw things up though. And man, they sure got screwed. Around the age of 7, Julian was beginning to seem a bit odd. He was full of energy, which can be a good thing, to a certain extent. He went far beyond that extent though. He was always wound up, always bouncing around the walls, and the worst of it was, he was cruel. He'd punch at people's legs, kick, scream, break things, and occasionally go after animals. He was a menace. Most people thought he'd grow out of this odd phase, that he'd just straighten out and stop being such a little shit. Most people were wrong. For another year and a half, it seemed like he'd continue on like this. Being the most horrible child you could ever imagine, but his dad, being a high class doctor, and having refined tastes would not tolerate it anymore. He had tried sedating Julian before, but Julian would always gag up the pills, or spit out the medicine. He had even yanked an iv right out of his arm. Fed up after many failed attempts, Julian's dad strapped right down to a table, and pulled out a scalpel. Without notice, he went to work on Julian. Now, it's not as bad as it sounds, but it was still quite a thing to do to a child. He had pealed much of the skin on Julian's hands back, and injected some chemicals right into his flesh. Once he was done, he stitched the skin back on, and called it a 'success'. What he had done was force the growth of glands in Julian's hands that would constantly secrete a sedative. It worked. After the heinous procedure his father had performed, Julian became an ideal son. He behaved, he studied, he worked his ass off, and eventually made it through much of school. Of course, he wasn't happy. The sedatives took a toll on his psyche, and as time went on, he became more and more depressed. By the time he had become a doctor, he was borderline suicidal. Luckily, by this time, his body had developed quite the immunity to the sedatives that his hands secreted. He was a young man in his prime, no longer bound by the chemical shackles his father had placed on him, and he wanted nothing more than to succumb to his instincts. So, he drank a fair amount of alcohol, and when he woke up the next morning, he found himself in his fathers clinic, hands covered in blood, with what he could only assume was his father's massacred body lying on an operating table. He sat there in shock, severely disturbed. What disturbed him was not what he had done, it was that he felt alive, full of energy once more. Killing his father had given him a thrill. The first thing Julian did when he came to his senses was return to his home. He approached his mother, tears in his eyes, hands still covered in blood, and he confessed. His mother, half out of fear, and half out of shame, made a deal with Julian. She helped hide any evidence that Julian had committed the murder, and then she reported the crime. After the ordeal had blown over, Julian had to do his part of the deal. He voluntarily went to a mental institution on the island, and he committed himself. He sat in a padded room for roughly a year and a half, all the while brooding, and losing his grip on his sanity more and more. He fantasized about crimes he could commit. The sight of his father lying on the table repeated over and over in his mind, sending him spiraling even further into guilt and shame. He may be crazy, he may be deranged and violent, but he still had emotions. He felt bad for what he had done, and felt even worse for what he had put his mother through. He figured he would rot in this place forever. After another couple weeks in Pleasantville Mental Health Institute, Julian was introduced to a new doctor, and a fellow lunatic. He knew nothing about either of them, except that they would have sessions together for awhile. The doctor's name was Dr. Gai Ferari, and he was ambitious. He claimed he could cure Julian, and his fellow patient. He started by doing simple things, like IQ tests and whatnot, and then moved on to the new age stuff. He hypnotized the two of them repeatedly, for many weeks, and Julian lost a grip on who he was. He had new memories of a brother, he started to forget some of his past, and he lost a few other things as well. Namely his inhibition. It came slowly, so the doctors didn't notice it, but he had clearly started to change. In his head, he no longer had qualms about killing his father, in fact, he reveled in it. He obviously kept this from the doctors, because he didn't want to be cooped up anymore. Along with his fellow patient, who he now thought was his brother, he 'escaped' the institution. Because it was a voluntary mental health facility, they were allowed to leave whenever they felt. So they did. Abilities and Possessions Combat: Julian's form of martial arts is something he taught to himself. It isn't much of an art, and more of a set of simple motions that he has grown quite fond of. It consists of flailing the limbs in whip like motions. This results in loud slapping noises, and generally cause pain, rather than actual damage. This fact is what he enjoys most about the style. He can actively torture the victim while fighting. He is also fond of using poisons and drugs during fights to strengthen himself, or weaken the enemy. He hates things that are over complex or that he can't understand, and instead, will always choose the simpler choice, even if it is harder to do. One thing that will always prompt his anger and hatred is Bounty Hunters. He doesn't go out of his way to find them, but should he see them and know he's seeing them, he will go on a rampage. Hometown: Alabasta, Grand Line History:Tod grew up with a very simple life, if not a little on the destitute and poor side of the spectrum. His mother had died giving birth to him and his twins, so he grew up with a very grumpy and aggressive father, who no doubt harbored ill intent for his sons. They had been a middle class family prior to his birth, but with his mothers death came his fathers depression. His dad could no longer effectively support the many of them with his smithing, so they were often without food or clean cloths. This didn't bother Tod as he grew up, because he had all the happy innocence of a child. He never really wanted anything growing up, which lessened the burden on his father. When he and his brothers were old enough to use their hands, his dad finally livened up enough to work the forge, just barely. They could get by, but they still had no extra money to spend. His brothers worked in the shop with his dad, and spent most of his time there, though he wasn't paid for the work. Meanwhile, Tod wandered aimlessly through town, sometimes getting into trouble. It was finally something that he needed money for, but there was no way they could afford it, so he sank to rather sketchy means, along with his brothers. One of the clowns noticed him sitting there all by himself, and walked over to greet him. Running to his house, he grabbed a simple iron rod, then turned towards the only bar that posted bounties in the area. The bounty hunters were lazing about haphazardly on some of the stools inside the place. Tod wasted no time closing in on them, and jumping quite confidently onto the counter. The men stared at him for a moment in surprise, not quite sure what was happening. Their questioning gazes were soon answered as Tod brought the metal rod crashing down on one of the men's heads. There was a dull thud as the guy crumpled to the ground. There was shouting and grunts as blood splattered across the floor, but soon there was only a single person left standing. These idiot bounty hunters had allowed some jerks to ruin the circus, and they didn't even do anything about it. Tod's dreams were ruined, so he had decided to take their lives. A new found hatred for bounty hunters was embedded in Tod's heart, and he knew he couldn't passively sit in this town, so he didn't. He went to the forge, grabbed his things, and set sail on a scraggly ship he found at the docks, ready for the adventure of his lifetime. Abilities and Possessions Combat:Tod's way of fighting is pretty easy to understand. He holds a weapon, and he hits things. It is very simple, and since the dawn of time, has been very effective for mankind. Weapons hurt. Weapons hurt a lot. So Tod runs into the midst of combat and swings his weapon around as hard as he can hoping to hit things, and defeat them. He also throws swamp stuff everywhere and uses gadgets sometimes. [-----] Account Name: Basic Character Information Name: Banana Brown Nickname: Banba Age: 22 Gender: Male Race: Jellyfish Fishman Affiliation: Pirate Bounty: 0 Achievements: N/A Profession:A Martial Artist is someone who specializes in hand-to-hand combat, completely or very close to unarmed. They usually have good insight in the aspects of weight, balance and movement of the body. Characters with this profession have access to certain additional traits and may create "Stance" techniques. A Doctor, on a ship or otherwise, gains large medical knowledge. Suturing and cleaning wounds, making bandages out of various materials and preparing drugs, is all part of a Doctor's job. Doctors are the only ones capable of healing serious injuries on the crew. Position: Random Physical Appearance Height: 14 Feet Weight: 933 Lbs. Hair: Slimy Eyes: Large Clothing/Accessories:Bonba doesn't wear cloths because his slimy body would ruin them. Luckily, he doesn't have genitalia, otherwise it would be awkward for those around him. He doesn't even have nipples. General Appearance: Bonba is a large, slimy, slightly blue, clear, monstrously large blob of goo. He stands on 2 feet(usually), and his head towers at an astonishing 14 feet. He has almost no neck, and all of his limbs are short and stumpy(when compared to the rest of his body). He generally only has two legs stick out, and no other appendages. He keeps his other four limbs retracted into his thick malleable torso. If he has all of his limbs retracted, he is simply a large lump of slime, that undulates and can sort of roll around. His face is rather large and goofy, with no nose. He has big unblinking eyes floating in his gooey body, and he has a large mouth that can stretch to fit things into his body. The Character Personality:Banba can be defined in 3 words. He is dumb. Bam, that's three words. He's a hulking brute with a brain that can't even be viewed through his clear body, which is a clear indicator of just how dumb he is. He lives life with an almost childlike innocence, but like many children, he is prone to tantrums and fits of rage. Unlike many children though, he is massive, and his fits actually cause problems. This lead to him being quite the loner. He loves other people, and likes being around them(in certain quantities), but they often dislike him. This has left him with some social anxiety. He is fine with small groups of others, but when there are lots of people, he tends to get paranoid and afraid of judgement. Because of this, for the rare few that can tolerate him, he is extremely loyal and attached. When off on his own, he can get quite lonely, and will look for any sort of being to comfort him. This includes many small pets, and occasionally, dangerous encounters with wildlife. Due to his generally low IQ, and tendency to favor others, Banba is quite captivated with alternative medicine. He is quite gullible, so even the most outlandish of approaches to medicine sound plausible to him. These are some of the few things he can focus on long enough to learn because he is 'certain' that they will be beneficial to his friends. Aside from healing others, he has also learned to defend himself through trial and error. He isn't at all confrontational, and aside from angry debacles, he is often tame. But he is over trusting, and has been mugged quite a few times, and through these encounters, he has learned combat. He is still quite opposed to fighting, but he will do what he has to if he/his friends are in danger. One might even say he's like a dog, in that he's loyal, faithful, friendly, and protective of those he cares about. Hometown:Open Sea, North Blue History: Banba was born out at sea by a wondering gypsy fishwoman. She was quite terrified of his large size(he was born at full size) and abandoned him right away. He was left there at the bottom of the ocean with no one to rely on. He eventually stumbled upon a small fishman society and struggled to fit in. He was ostracized for his rather idiotic behavior and outbursts because his size made him difficult to deal with as a child. He eventually left that small enclave and wandered around from place to place. He made some friends, but these encounters were often brief because he would piss them off, or he would piss off everyone else. Such a sad time. After a while, he came to dislike most fishmen and he went above the water to live on land. He had a much better time, but that's not saying much. He still suffered, but not because he was big or because he was an idiot. He just didn't fit in. He was somewhat okay with it though because people weren't mean to him for no reason. They simply ignored him. He was just some stray that happened to be in town. He probably would have gone back to the ocean at some point, but he became enthralled with something he found. It was like, his natural calling. He had found a small paper pamphlet that detailed the healing power of massages. Bamba found a trainer and learned to use his giant hands as a tool of healing. He was pretty terrible, and it didn't actually heal things, but he loved it. He could help his friends, and he didn't need to be smart to do it. He experimented with several different types of simple medicine, but none were as fun as massaging people. One of the ways he learned had quite the strange result. He had tried to learn to mix herbs, and find natural ways to heal people. Instead, he made a terrible mixture that caused his body to secrete disgusting slime. Luckily, he was able to control this secretion, otherwise it would have been quite gross. Time passed, and he became better at his job. He had also learned to defend himself from the many bad people that took advantage of him. Sadly, this often appeared like a giant monster fishman attacking people. This wasn't actually the case, but that's how people saw it when he defended himself from muggers. In this way, he ended up being labeled as a no good criminal, but he didn't mind. At least he was acknowledged. With his new identity as a lawbreaker, Banba set out to make some friends who shared his situation, and the to go on an adventure. Abilities and Possessions Combat:Banba uses his large body to crush people, or otherwise restrict them. He grabs them and falls forwards, holding them down, or he releases sticky fluid to keep them detained while he goes for someone else. Luckily, due to his flimsy body, he can easily squeeze away when they grapple him back. Account Name:K1ng
Name: Ekerd Sirart
Nickname: Runt
Age:8
Gender: Male
Height: 3’9”
Weight:44 Lbs
Guild: N/A
Class: D
Affiliation: Unlawful Neutral(may break a few laws such as stealing but isn’t evil)
Physical Description:Standing at 3’9”, Ekerd is quite small even for his age. He is only 44 pounds! Ekerd is very skinny, which unlike the typical chubbiness found in his age group, shows the amount of time he spends running, playing and exploring the local forests. He is often covered in scrapes and bruises and his hands are heavily calloused. Contrast to these tell-tale signs of a child adventurer, his skin is quite fair and refuses to tan no longer how long he stays out in the sun. He has medium length brown hair and clover green eyes. Due to his angular features and slim figure, he is often mistaken for a girl. His youthful voice doesn’t help either.
Clothing: Ekerd has an extremely simple outfit that suits his outdoor pursuits perfectly. He wears a plain blue pair of overall-shorts. Like standard overalls, they cover both body and legs, but his pair is cut off at the thigh allowing for more freedom of movement. No shirt is worn underneath the overalls, but if forced too, he wears a white tee-shirt under the overalls. He is often barefoot, but on occasion he will wear an old pair of brown leather boots. When it is colder out, he wears legged overalls and a long sleeve white shirt underneath, and if it is extremely cold, a workers coat that belonged to his father.
Accessories: He has a pair of pink hair pins in his hair and a bracelet with a small magnifying glass attached.
Extra: Aside from minor scratches on hands and knees, he has no major scarring.
Picture:
Ekerd Sirart
Posted Image
Personality: Ekerd is a fairly wild and free child. He likes to run through the wilderness with no restraint, but contrary to this primal description of him, he is elegant in his actions. Weather because of his effeminate appearance or because of some underlying female qualities, everything he does, he does gracefully. His running is more like prancing, his eating is proper and refined, and his tag playing could only be described as an art form. He is often happy, but when he is picked on, it is devastating to him. He has few friends so when the only kids near him that are his age make fun of him, it has a large effect.
Due to this bullying, he has recently become more of a recluse. He doesn’t talk to other children, and explores on his own. He knows the forests surrounding his hometown intricately and spends much of his time in his own secret hiding spots, observing bugs and thinking about kid stuff. Though he is alone, he doesn’t get lonely; he has all the insects of the forest to play with. As a boy he tends to battle the bugs, but he usually stops them before they hurt each other. He doesn’t dislike the company of others; he is just not used to it. For the few people he is close too, he opens up and is quite loud and cheery.
History
One of the first things Ekerd remembers is the first and last nickname he ever received. His father, having a tiny son, decided to nickname him runt. This was a playful name and was just a cute way for him to refer to his son. Ekerd has resented him ever since.
The local children could not see this name for the playful little thing it was. Using this as a base, they taunted Ekerd to no end and when they were done abusing the poor boy, the shunned him from their group. From this point on, Ekerd strayed from human interaction, relying on his animal friends for comfort. He would go deep into the woods and explore on his own. In time he learned how to avoid the dangers, and seek the pleasure of nature, his favorite of which, were rare bugs.
At first it was just a hobby, but then it became a full blown obsession. He would explore the woods looking for rare insects to observe and play with, including poisonous and deadly ones. Through his experiences, he developed his own strategies to catch bugs and started his own little kit for catching them which included a magnifying glass, jars and gloves. When he was at the peak of his bug catching career, he started to learn magic. At some point in time, he forgets when, a hermit took residence in Ekerd's woods. After observing the odd man for some time, Ekerd approached him.
At first the man simply ignored Ekerd, but as time passed, he slowly began to acknowledge his existence. He noticed how naturally Ekerd could assimilate with the wilderness and decided that this was an appropriate student. The man was a master of a type of magic called Take Over. It allows one to take on the form of creatures they defeat or have profound knowledge of. Ekerd, having a profound knowledge and love for insects, was excited to give this magic a try. For a long time he was unsuccessful, he just simply couldn't envision the bugs well enough to transform. To fix this problem, Ekerd decided to live in the woods for awhile and study the insects more intensively.
His father and mother were extremely opposed to him living with a stranger in the woods, so Ekerd ran away. Being the only person in town with the knowledge to effectively navigate the forest, Ekerd escaped with ease. Once he got back to the hermits cabin, he was shocked by the sight. He took one step into the hut to notice that all the walls squirming. Too late. The door shut behind him and he heard his masters voice, "Live with the insects for 3 days and learn from them."Ekerd was in a bad situation. Not only were all of the creepy crawlies agressive predators, some of them were even venomous. Ekerd stayed completely still, standing in the same spot without moving an inch. He allowed the creatures to crawl all over his body, and he absorbed every sensation.
After the trial presented to him, his master asked him to try is magic one more time. Ekerd was successful in a partial transformation. After some words of congratulation, his master told him to keep trying and to master the magic and that this was all he could teach him. With no more words, the hermit left and never returned. Alone again, Ekerd decided it was time to find a new comrade and set off to into the world join a mage guild.

Skills & Disciplines: Being a young boy, Ekerd has a profound interests in bugs, specifically predatory insects and has compounded a vast amount of knowledge on the subject. Not having finished school yet, Ekerd is below the average intelligence of his mage peers. He is proficient in the use of small knives. Being a child, he is also proficient in the arts of “Tag!”, “Hide and Seek” and “candy consumption”.
Magic Name:Hungering Insect
Magic Type: Take Over – Predatory Insects
Tier of Magic:3
Rank: 2
Magic Description: Playing with bugs from a young age, and by being a user of take-over magic, Ekerd has learned to use the forms of these creatures. The forms he can use are his favorite type of creepy crawlies: predatory insects/arthropods (bugs/arachnids). By transforming different parts of his body into those of the insects he admires, he gains different advantages in battle. These transformations include, but are not limited to things like changing his hands into praying mantis blades, or forming venomous mandibles on his face. Being a small child, Ekerd tends to focus on forms that give him the option of escape, primarily flight and speed boosts.
Techniques: 2/2
Predatory Rush
Predatory Rush - (2)
Type: Support
Range: Self
Effect: Ekerd sprouts large mantis wings from his back. Using these wings, he pushes against the air and propels himself forward granting him bonus speed. This is the limit of the power as they are not strong enough to grant him flight, though they may be able to slow down a fall or boost jump height. The wings being large enough for humans are thicker and more durable than actual mantis wings so in a desperate situation, Ekerd can use them to shield himself, though they are not very good shields. Another defensive factor of this form is that the skin surrounding vital organs is slightly hardened and appears to be formed of chitin, the natural armor of many insects. The mantis wings come in as a light pink/white reminiscent of the petals of the pink orchid, the chitin plates are of similar coloring. The mantis this form is modeled after is the
Orchid Mantis
This form provides a stat boost in the form of +4 stamina and +11 speed. Use of this form also grants the technique flicker strike. The duration is 4 posts and the cooldown to re-use the technique is 2 posts. If necessary Ekerd may quick shift by ending the transformation before half of the techniques duration(in this case, before 2 posts have gone by). This allows him to change again after a cooldown of 1 post instead of 2.
Flicker Strike
Flicker Strike - (1)
Type:Offensive
Range:Melee
Effect: Using his wings, Ekerd gets moving as fast as he can and begins to charge the opponent. Once within range of the opponent, instead of continuing forward, he spreads the wings as wide as possible bringing himself to a complete halt. Using this delay to throw off the opponents timing, Ekerd attempts to strike a vital spot, or in the case of exceptionally perceptive opponents, to at least land a strike before quickly fleeing. The strain on the wings is great enough that Ekerd can only use it once per transformation with a minimum post cool down of two.

Physical Description:Being 5 foot 11.5 inches and only 148 pounds, Glee is quite skinny. He is almost unhealthily skinny. His skin is very pale and contrasts greatly with his veins that are quite visible. He has dark brown hair that he keeps somewhat trim and he has deep blue eyes, one covered by his "emo" bangs. He is often seen with a smirk across his face that leaves a creepy impression on others, partially because it's weird and partially because his teeth are sligghtly yellowed. He has proper posture, and though his arms tend to stay crossed, his back is always straight, even while sitting. He walks in a weird way, that is a mix between a skip and a step. One might call it "prancing". This, along with his smile makes him seem a little "off". This is accurate. He is more than a little "off".
Clothing: Glee typically wears a tight fitting military uniform. It is standard issue and is dark green in color. It has many pockets on the front(which bulge from his many packs of cigarettes). Diagonal across his chest is a black strap, preventing his uniform from puffing out. He wears a black belt made of the same material which appears to be some sort of durable fabric. His pants are of the same color as his shirt and are also standard issue. Under his military jacket is a white collared shirt. He likes his cloths to be professional looking. He is a boxers guy(no briefs here) and he usually has a silk pair. He has thick, wool, white socks that go up a bit from his ankle, but aren't quite knee height. His boots are black, military grade combat boots. They are thick and insulated.
Accessories: None Extra: He has no noticeable scars or tattoos Picture: Glee Posted Image
Personality: Ever wonder what it's like to squeeze a human heart? He does. Every wonder what it feels like to snap a bone with your bare hands? He does. Ever wonder...(insert gross painful image)? He does. Yeah, we got ourselves a real sicko here. He likes to inflict pain on others...well he would like to, the problem is that he's too weak. He is a typical whack job. He likes to do bad things, but he is incapable of doing so, thus, he acts like a normal person most of the time. Most of the time.
If he ever has some power or advantage, he exploits it to harm others. As a child he hurt small animals. As a teen, he bullied small children. As an adult.... he still bullies small children. He is simply a horrible human being. One thing about him that isn't disturbing are his manners. He speaks in a polite tone, and even is courteous, for example, he will apologize as he cuts off your arm. See? Courteous.
Friendship is but an excuse to keep "pets". The people he calls "friends" are his belongings, regardless of their status as living creatures. He feels he is entitled to do with them as he pleases when he pleases. Obviously... he doesn't have many(None. None at all.) "friends" of which he can control. The second he orders them to do something, they realise he's a freak and ditch him. They're simple orders too, he doesn't understand why they leave when he asks them to do things like "Chew off your own arm" or "kick that baby", this is small stuff compared to what truly pleases him.
History Glee wasn't always a disturbing, vile, scummy human being. As a small child, he was relatively pure and normal. He played with the other kids and enjoyed himself as any child should. The thing that changed him was something he witnessed at the age of 5.
While wandering through the woods surrounding the town, he found a camp of bandits that had been in the newspaper recently. They were striking caravans of goods and stealing everything. They even murdered the drivers. Glee discovered the camp just in time to witness the beheading of a villager from his town. It was the first time he had seen something die.
At first he was too stunned to move. He just sat there staring at the unmoving body in shock. After awhile he regained his senses and ran. He did not tell anyone about this event in fear that the bandits would find and kill him too. A few months passed and the town was in an uproar. the knights were coming to slay the bandits! Glee didn't know what to think of this, but one thing was for sure, he was going to watch.
On the day the knights arrived, he snuck out to the bandit it camp to watch the battle. It was a gruesome sight, but not once did he close his eyes. He took in every detail of the massacre. The screams, the smell, the blood, and most importantly, the smiles of knight and bandit alike as they slaughtered one another. They seemed to genuinely enjoy the bloodshed. This sight would leave an impression on Glee for the rest of his life.
Longing to "enjoy" killing like the knights and bandits did, he hurt animals and picked on the local kids. He would do this all without drawing suspicion because of his polite way of acting. Kids would tell their parents but he would always apologize and make up some excuse. The villagers thought this was amiable; a child that apologizes willingly? How rare!
When he turned 16 he attempted to join the knights so he could kill as well. he was quickly turned down. Not because of his vile actions, but because he was to weak to keep up with the physically demanding profession. For the first time in his life, Glee was genuinely infuriated. He vowed to kill in the name of pleasure, and become a villain that even the knights would fear! Of course, to do this, he needed power.
He tried to strengthen himself, but to no avail. he was simply not suited to physical activity; well, besides running. He was quite good at that. After many different attempts at becoming more powerful, and his final option was magic. But, he felt to do so, he would need a powerful teacher. Something with extreme control over elemental magic. A dragon.
For the next year and a half he researched different dragons but information was limited and he almost gave up many times. As he reached the end of a book that referenced a dragon, he found an odd section: "Why is your Vision obscured? And why is your Heart so cold? Why are your feet dragging? And why do you need to lie? Well, to see you must Warm, And to thaw you must Shine. To seek you must speak the truth, And to know is to seek the answer. Seek in the Place of Luck, And you shall find the obscuring fog so dark, That you can not help but see through to the heart of the matter."
What could this be? A poem? A song? No, after a few minutes, he decided it was a riddle. This being his only lead he decided to try and figure it out, who knows, perhaps it lead to a dragon.

Magic Name: Puff-o-Smoke Magic Type: Smoke Elemental Magic Tier of Magic: Starter Rank: 2 Magic Description: Glee is able to use the most basic form of smoke elemental magic. He has trouble creating smoke so he uses cigarette smoke. He inhales the smoke from the cigarette and infuses it with his magic. He then can manipulate the charged smoke for a short period of time to do menial tasks. It has little to no combat applications, besides possibly getting in an opponent’s eyes.
Techniques: 2/2
Death by Smoke - 1 Type: Offensive Range: 5m Effect: Glee inhales a large puff of smoke and infuses it with magic. He then exhales the smoke and attempts to move it to the enemies face in hopes that they will inhale it. After 60 years, they may die of lung cancer. This may or may not be caused by this spell. It is hard to tell considering that the amount of smoke that enters their lungs is extremely small.
Itchy Eye - 1 Type: Offensive Range: 7m Effect: Glee forms a small sphere of his magic infused smoke and moves it towards the enemies eyes. He then releases his control of the sphere so it disperses into the area surrounding their face. This could cause some minor eye irritation, if not just a little redness.

Sariel Killer
Name: Sariel Killer Nickname:None Age: 25 Gender: Male Height: 6' 1" Weight: 184 Lbs. Guild: Knights of Fiore Grimoire Heart Class: Corporal C Affiliation: Dark
Physical Description: Sariel is an adequately tall and lean young man. He is not lean in the sense of he is skinny, he is lean in the sense that he is fit. Standing at about 6 foot, he is a bit taller than the average man his age. His skin color is white, though, form prolonged exposure to the sun, he is quite tan. His arms are toned and hang down to mid thigh. On his right arm, he has a tattoo of a shogun in full armor with a dragon wrapped around it's waist. The whole tattoo is done in black ink. Similarly too his arms, his chest, back, torso, thighs and lower legs are all toned. Living by meager means, he eats little and exercises a lot. Generally speaking, this exercise consists of sword practice.
Sariel is a fairly flexible man. Due to this, his posture is bad and he is often seen stretching or posed in odd positions. He is not always concious of the fact that he may be standing weird, or have on legged raised for no reason. Similar to a lot of people tap their feet, or kick a chair when they sit down for too long, he likes to contort himself into weird positions. Generally out of boredom. When he walks, he takes long strides, almost as if jumping with each step. This form of walking is partially due to constant fleeing when he was younger, and also due to his martial training. Too close the gap between yourself and an enemy, one must always be ready to lunge. Instead of being ready too lunge, Sariel is always taking wildly large steps that could easily be combined with a lunging motion to strike.
Clothing: Sariel tends to wear a white sleeveless shirt, commonly referred to as a wife beater. It is made out of a thin cotton like material and is stain/water resistant. On his legs he wears a worn pear of denim jeans. The right knee is thinned showing white threads, and the left knee is completely worn through, now only a hole. He wears a leather belt with a gun metal belt buckle. In the center of the buckle is a star. He also wears a thick pair of dark leather work boots. The strings are usually untied and just tucked into the shoes. These too are quite warn.
The traditional garb of his sword style is a full body suit composed of grey-blue cloth and a long black cloth waste band. The suit is cut off at the shoulders giving the arms unrestricted movement. The whole suit itself is rather loose hanging baggily around the body. this makes it harder to judge the size of the person wearing it. It also blocks the fine movements of the wearer making it harder to predict what they will do next. Lastly, the dark colors make it good for avoiding sight during the night should one ever need to be sneaky.
Accessories: Gun metal belt buckle. Bear head charm hanging from one of his katanas. Eye patch.

Personality: Personality Sariel is a very quiet person. Quiet meaning he doesn't talk. He isn't shy, he isn't modest, he isn't afraid of strangers, he just simply will not talk (mostly due to a fact that his head is covered with a parasite that restricts his ability to move his jaw). He is actually an energetic, fun person to be with. He would be loud if he could, and he has quite a few excellent jokes stored in his head while he waits for the day he can use them. He would like so very much to be the center of attention, telling jokes, and making everyone laugh, but he does not have that luxury. instead he is stuck with a thing on his head, which causes insecurity and generally causes him to get exiled. Due to this, despite his rather charming personality, he is forced to protect himself.
The stress and dangers posed by these exiles have caused him to develop an overactive survival instinct. He is very defensive, and though he can easily get along with people, he tends to avoid them. It is very hard to gain Sariel's trust. On a general basis, he never trusts anyone the first time he meets them. Not even officers of the law, for he has met enough corrupt ones that they have no status in his eyes. His lack of trust can act as a barrier, preventing him from making many friends. He feels that not trusting a friend is horrible so he decides not to make friends.
Diligence is something else he gained from this self preservation. If your going to do something, do it right so you never have to worry about it again. if you cook food, do it right so you don't get sick. If you build a bridge, make sure it won't collapse so you never fall and get hurt. When you learn a martial arts, make sure you learn it well so you can protect yourself in any situation. These are all applications of this gained diligence. As it applies to Sariel, he has honed his martial arts to near perfection, though his actual physical abilities are a bit lacking in comparison. These can be improved though, and he has no intention of staying weak. you can't defend yourself if you're weak.
The stress did not only effect him in good ways. He has also developed several bad habits to deal with the stress. The number one habit being smoking. He is an avid smoker, and not even his sense of self preservation can stop him from smoking. He is so addicted that without smoke for a day, he would be writhing in pain. An odd fact about his smoking is that the parasite on his head seems to consume the smoke for some reason. Sariel is not sure why it does so.
Another personality trait caused by the parasite is a general dislike of judgement based on appearance. Like the expression says, don't judge a book by its cover. He hates when people jump too conclusions based on what someone looks like. he himself looks like a man wearing a bear mask, and thus, insane, but he isn't. At least, no one can prove that he is. he has no choice but too look like this, so the fact that people judge him really makes him angry, so he will never judge someone else in a similar fashion. He knows the horrible feeling very well, and would hate to pass it on to others. Though, that is not to say he would prefer a less than attractive women over a lovely one, but he would never make fun of the ugly one for being ugly.
Along with this hate of people who judge by appearance came a new idea. Instead of letting people continue to be insulting and rude, he would take control and force them to stop. If they were working 24/7 in labor camps, they would have no time to insult others. Sariel would be doing the world a favor by providing everyone with jobs, giving them food, forcing them to "play" nice and being their all powerful dictator. What more could they want?
History: History Sariel was born too a small village under the name of Jacob Winters. The village was in the middle of no where. He lived a simple, happy life with his mother, father and two sisters, working a farm and living on simple means. This lasted all of 7 years until something unique happened. While wandering in the forests near his home, he stumbled onto a babbling brook of sorts that he had never found before. Being a child, and quite fond of splashing around he decided to jump right in. While in the stream, he had quite a time catching newts, craw dads and other such creatures until he found a rather strange thing. Floating down the stream was a small pink slimy thing he had never seen before. Being a child and having no restraint, he picked it right up. As soon as it touched his hands, the pink blob started bubbling, and turning darker as it slowly started moving up Jacob's arm. Jacob paid no heed as he watched the silly little thing come closer and closer to his head. The fact that it was growing larger didn't shock him at all.
Suddenly, the blob opened and sprung around Jacob's head and he panicked. For a few moments, he couldn't breath and as he gasped for air, his vision slowly faded until he passed out completely. During this "slumber" of sorts, the Kumask went to work, forming around the young boys head and latching on. It had secured it's host. Jacob lay in the pond unconcious for hours on end, until finally one morning he awoke. He had a tremendous headache and his neck was quite sore. Reaching up to hold his head, he felt something quite weird. something round was between his shoulders where his head should be. When he tried to scream, he coughed as a tube was running down his throat. What was this? What is going on? he thought as he struggled to pull the thing off, but to no avail. It had latched deep into his flesh, and the more he tugged, the more it hurt. He decided to worry about that later as getting home was his first priority.
It took only about an hour to find his way to his home town. Everything was progressing as normal, that is, until he wandered into town. Seeing his sister next to the statue of the towns guardian, the angel Sariel, Jacob took off running towards her. He felt tears dampen his cheeks as he got closer, but he couldn't call out her name. Instead he just ran and embraced her. Looking up at her face, he noticed that she was quite afraid. Within moments she was screaming and the towns people gathered around. It didn't take notice until Jacob's father caught wind of this and was running to her rescue. As soon as he reached the two, he grabbed onto Jacob by the thing around his head and threw him. Yelling at him not to touch his daughter, and that the next time he tried, he'd get beaten. Jacob was shocked as he sat where he landed, which happened to be next to the guardian statue. He tried to wail out in desperation, but no sound was produced, he just sat, tears streaming. Mixed with the sadness was anger. Why did he have this thing with him? Why couldn't he talk? Why did his father hurt him? All these things raced through his mind until finally he burst out, punching the statue with all his strength.
Cracks raced across the surface of the ancient statue. It took less than a minute for the whole thing to shatter and crumble to the ground next to him. The villagers, already gathered around to see the earlier spectacle, all gasped in shock. Their guardian statue, Sariel, had been destroyed. "You monster! What have you done?" "You broke it, you destroyed our guardian angel!" "Look what you did? You killed it you killed Sariel!" The villagers yelled and taunted the young boy, until only two words remained in his mind. Sariel Killer. He couldn't take the harsh words, he got up and ran, the two words repeating over and over in his head, Sariel killer, Sariel Killer, Sariel killer.... On and on as he ran, getting further from his village, further from his family. He could no longer go back, not looking like this, but there was nowhere he could go. Every town he stopped in, he was instantly persecuted as a monster or as a criminal for breaking the statue. Nowhere was safe for him.
Jacob took top the forest, at first eating berries and leaves and whatever he could find to survive. it was harsh, but being young, he adapted quickly and was able to manage, though only barely. the longer he spent int he woods, the better his hunting skills got. Soon, he was eating small animals like rabbits and squirrels that he caught. Living off of berries was a thing of the pass as he became more wild and primitive. During these times, he forgot himself. He became animalistic and fierce, a denizen of the wild as he struggled to survive in the harsh world. He forgot his human past, partially because of his youth, his mind was maliable and he could erase the unpleasant memories. Soon, even his name was forgotten, and all he recalled of his past were the words, Sariel Killer, that were so brightly burned into his mind. This wretched life style lasted for only a few years, and when he was 12, someone new would come into his life.
On a training journey into the wild, a young swordsman ventured into Jacob's territory. It was not long until the two met, as if destined. The young man was Regis, and he had come to hone his swordsmanship by training in the heart of the wild. Upon meeting Jacob, who had such an odd appearance, Regis simply laughed. "Well hello there, that's an interesting look, what's your name?" Jacob motioned his hand as if holding a pen. Regis scrounged up a pen and some paper from his pack and handed them to Jacob. "I don't know" Jacob responded. "What do you mean you don't know? You hit your head or something?" the young man asked astonished. "I can't remember much, I don't know...." Jacob really couldn't remember much, if anything at all. "What do you remember then?" "Sariel Killer" Jacob quickly scribbled. "Sariel Killer? That's a pretty messed up name!" "That's not my...-" "Well, Sariel, what are you doing out here?" "I said that's no...-" "Aren't you a bit young to be out here? You should probably come with me." Without any further discussion, Regis simply grabbed the boy, now known as Sariel, around the waist and carried him off. Sariel could do nothing to resist the mans immense strength and simply hung limp for the journey.
For a solid 8 hour trip, Sariel just hung there, grunting every once in awhile, but for the most part he didn't struggle. The reward for his patience was being let down once they reached a dojo. It was Regis' own dojo that he had recently inherited due to the passing of his father, and now that it was just him living there, he had decided that Sariel would fill the gap. He would take Sariel as his own disciple and train him in the ways of the sword. The boy was homeless and had no memories, what else was he gonna do? Stay in the woods? Might as well learn a way to defend himself, he does seem to be chased quite often. For 7 years Sariel trained at the Regis Dojo, and when he was 19 years old, he left on his own journey to become stronger. Though it had the slight twist of world domination. "Slight" twist.
Sariel applied for the Knights of Fiore. He was accepted. Woot. Due to Kumask's evolution, Sariel can now talk. Yay.
Due to a major transgression on Sariel's part, he was apprehended by the Knights and put to trial. After his testimony, as well as the testimony of others who saw the bounty poster he was in possession of, it was deemed that he had not intended to murder the man. It was also decided that it had been a crime of passion, and it had be spur of the moment. He did not know the man would be there, and in surprise, had attacked his perceived culprit. It was a crime though, and as a knight, he should have had the composure and knowledge to see through the petty trick behind the false posters. The court decided to give him the strictest judgement for voluntary manslaughter, which is a sentence of 11 years in prison.
Two years passed without anything really happening. Prison sucked, but that was nothing to be surprised about. He was heavily restrained at most times, so he found himself turning his attentions towards his thoughts, and it was through such mental wandering that he discovered something. It was faint, but he had the capacity to use magic. He wasn't sure if this was some natural talent, or if it was caused by the chemicals constantly entering his head through Teddy. Either way, he was rather pleased to have discovered something new to keep him entertained. For 3 more years he played with his magic in secret, whilst maintaining a positive attitude, and good behavior in the prison. Having been a knight, he knew how to act like a goody goody, even if he didn't agree with it. He also knew that good behavior could shorten a sentence by a decent amount. After a final year of acting like a honorable, kind, reformed dolt, Sariel found himself walking out the front gates. His Knighthood had been revoked, but he didn't really give a shit. He was done being the good guy. Also, Teddy stopped riding on his head and ran away.

Magic Magic Name: Umbral Swarm Magic Type: Single Summon Tier of Magic: 1 Rank: 5 Magic Description: Umbral Swarm is a single summon magic, in which, the user forms a deep bond with a swarm of umbral creatures. These voracious fiends serve their master under the condition that they get to eat the master's soul upon his death. As part of the contract, the umbral creatures cannot be directly responsible for the death of the master. This is to prevent them from simply murdering the poor bloke and stealing his soul. As with all single summon magics, the caster places a lot of concentration into summoning and maintaining their summons presence in the real world, so when the summon is killed and sent back to another plane, the caster takes a hefty blow to their psyche. Once summoned, the umbral creatures cannot be dispelled by their master. The only way to get rid of them is killing them. Once in the other realm, they will begin to regenerate, though it is not recommended to kill your summons. This would generally lead to some animosity. Due to the close bond between the two, the summoner may have supportive techniques, as well as directly defensive and offensive techniques that utilize or are linked to the summon in some way but not only by themselves.

The Summon Name: Umbral Creature Age: Inapplicable Height: 80 Cm Weight: 61 Kg
Physical Description The umbral creatures are hideous masses of flesh and carapace. Their bodies cannot be subject to the meager classifications of animals. They show traits of many types of creatures, all in the pursuit of the perfect hunter. The exterior of the beasts are coated in a thick, flexible carapace. Despite this exoskeleton, the inside is supported by a powerful skeletal system, bound by sinewy muscles. It has four legs, and two appendages extending from its back with fearsome spikes of bone extending forward. Behind these arms used for hunting, folded just behind the front legs, are a set of extendable wings, used mostly for jumping rather than flying.
The front legs have rotating joints that allow them to be used in conjunction with the arms on its back in order to the attack. The back legs ares thick, and well suited for powerful leaps and fast crawls. Extending from its rear is a tail, crowned by a vicious spike. Its head has rows of sharp teeth, and narrow yellow eyes. They are the calculating eyes of a hunter. On either side of the mouth are extendable spikes used to pin prey so the teeth can tear away at the flesh. Contrary to the hard back, the stomach is much softer, though anything but weak. It is dense muscle tissue that allows for quite a bit of flexibility through the torso. This allows it to rotate 180 degrees about the waist, and enforces the bodies overall aggressive capacity.
Picture Posted Image
Personality The umbral swarm is an interesting group of creatures. Based on their appearance alone, one would think they were mindless killing machines. They are indeed killing machines, but they are not mindless. Like with many groups of insects, the umbral swarm operates through a sort of hive mind. They are individual creatures, but as a whole, they seem to think as a single creature. This entire hive mind is controlled by a queen, but she is a separate entity that never sets its foot in the human world. Instead, she directs swarms of the umbral swarm throughout different dimensions to make contracts wit living beings, in order to secure their souls which the queen uses as a food source.
Everything the umbral creatures do is to please their queen. Because the queen wants the soul of their contractor, they also will do anything to please the contractor, since in the long run, it is also for the queen. That being said, their second strongest governing force is hunger. They succumb to their incessant hunger on a regular basis, and can potentially disobey their master in the pursuit of food. They would never actually disobey the queen though, as she controls them directly through their heads. Oddly enough, they do seem to be honor bound. Despite easily being capable of overcoming their masters, they do wait until the master naturally dies before they take the soul. Until then, they will do everything they can to keep the master alive. It is strange that these carnivorous fiends would follow these rules set for themselves, but it is true.

Magic Name: Umbral Realm Magic Type: Shadow Control Rank: 4 Magic Description: Umbral Realm is a form of shadow magic used by the umbral creatures. The main use of Umbral Realm is the ability to 'invade' shadows by allowing the creatures to literally reside within the shadows themselves, and not simply the ground the shadows they cover. Once in the shadows, the umbral creatures have control of the shadow, through additional techniques. These additional techniques are generally attacking through use of shadows, or shadow based illusion techniques used for deception. Shadows are a representation of somethings 'shape' and by changing the shape of the shadows from within, the umbral creatures can create the illusion of the 'hosts' body changing. Such as disguises, or trickery. The attacks utilizing shadows are generally attacking from within the shadows themselves, by extending parts of their bodies out, or by generating shadow elemental attacks using the shadows as a medium.
