The forests were a strange place in the fresh eyes of Akui. It wasn't dangerous per say, it was just different. It wasn't the open area that she'd hatched into and there was so much more to take in. There were the strange things that grew out of the ground with colorful petals. Then there were the giants that extended high into the sky and could block out the sun. Hopping through the forests she took in the sights as best she could. She didn't want to get lost, but she didn't want to miss anything either. Suddenly she came to a stop when she saw something she had yet to see. She altered course immediately to heat towards a tree covered in vines. The patchwork of them was so captivating to her. The way they wove themselves together and rested on the tree. She hopped up and down trying to see more and more of the detail. They had formed just above eye level for her and thus she had to jump to see them. She was unaware of just how ridiculous she might look. she was only aware of another captivating find.
Finally boring of it the small digimon sat still and looked up. She looked up at the tree and the growing patch of vines that was making its way up them. "Pretty." She murmured to herself before she dashed off again. She hadn't realized how long she'd wasted time trying to get a better view, but the sun had been an excellent marker. When she'd started her little trek the sun had been high in the sky, but now it was starting to set.
Akui hadn't been out in the forests at night yet and she wasn't so sure she wanted to start now. Turning around to go the way she came she started hopping forth. She suddenly found herself taken in again by the beautiful world around her. That moment of distraction was enough for her to veer off course and end up in a section of the woods she'd yet to experience. The trees were thicker here and the vines had more thorns. She liked this place, but it made her skin crawl all at once.
She slowed her hopping pace, feeling as if she was being watched by the sentinel trees here. They stared down at her with thorny canopies intertwining above her. She stopped to look up at nature's mural high above her, smiling to herself. Oblivious to the world until the rain started. Strange droplets of water landing on her. They made her shake and hiss as she darted for cover. Ending up under a canopy of large leaves she stared out at the strange stuff falling from the sky. She'd never seen rain before and she wasn't quite sure she wanted to hear it again. It had left her shivering under a leaf, cold and wet. It was the first time she felt alone, a strange feeling indeed.

Finally, Shinji had separated himself from his twin brother. The twin was nothing like in his dreams, he felt very disappointed at how this new world turned out, where was his real brother? The real brother that played with him in dreams? The one that spoke to hi, the one he trusted so much? His so called twin was too much of a coward and was just different from his real brother...
After separating himself from his false brother, Shinji ventured away from the town, away from the happiness and just... reminders... oh his loved one. He had been told to stay away from the wilds because of the dangers that lurked, but dangers seemed better than bitter reminders of his brother not really his brother. As he approached the forest he noticed a figure jumping, a little white blob thing. He hopped to peer closer, what was it doing? It seemed filled with interest toward the tree, was there something about that tree? Shinji had only been a few hours old, but there seemed nothing of interest in that tree...
Suddenly the creature began to hop away, it was getting dark, why was it going deeper into the woods? Shinji was filled with curiosity at this fact, was it trying to be tough? Was this thing possibly his brother born in another body? Little did he know this thing was a girl, but then he was just getting his hopes up. He followed the creature wanting to know more, it stared up around, was it lost? What was going to happen now? Then the creature just sat there, in a calm manner.
Shinji enjoyed this odd little digimon, it was so different from the others... The others that only wanted to play, only wanted to remind him of his brother so much it sickened him. Rain started to fall... This was the first he ever experienced rain, it was so cold so different. Before he knew it he was enjoying the odd noises of the water droplets hitting the leaves making a musical sound. He began to enjoy the water hitting his jello-like body, it was the neatest feeling ever. He began to forget about his brother and just enjoy the weather.
With this feeling of enjoyment since the first time he hatched he started to dance in the rain, well dance as a jello-blob thing could dance. With a jump he landed splat in front of the one he had followed out here in the middle of nowhere. He popped up from his splat laughing with sheer enjoyment.

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | "You're crazy, you won't last a chance out there!"
"Just stay back in the village where you'll be okay!"
Mah, the heck with them. Thunder scowled as he floated near the exit of the village, the orange digimon staring at the many trees and such that made up the outside. Luckily for him, he’d caught one of the smaller ‘mons guarding the gate gone for a small break, so it allowed him to leave without anyone else asking any questions. Known to others, the little guy was incredibly curious of other things as babies were. He was also loud, rather stupid and tended to defy any sort of rules that hindered him from fully letting his sense of curiosity grow. To anyone else, he was just flat out crazy, but he didn’t care.
The fufumon simply floated over the ground by a few centimeters, bright eyes scanning the lush environment. He’d only hatched but a few days ago, but the fresh level had a big sense for adventure. It didn’t help matters that something was driving him much deeper than newfound feelings and expressions. As he traveled through the forest, he could see much more than he was supposed to. Like beyond the skies or the tallest heights despite only being so small. He could even feel what was the ground beneath his toes despite not having any.
He had to find out why this was.
Sadly, as soon as he made it into the forest, the sun was beginning to set. For most young ones, a sense of fear would compel him to travel back into the village, but Thunder was torn. Would he go back or keep going in deeper? With a grunt, he continued floating deeper into the environment. Right after his choice had been made, he discovered two things; someone else was in this forest just like him, and that whatever was dropping from the sky (...rain, his head seemed to cry out) was very cold.
“Eh, just a little water.”
With that in mind, he simply followed the fellow blob as he seemed to dance in the rain freely. He couldn’t help but smile and enjoy the little dance before he came over with a energetic look, despite the dreary weather.
“Heya! Didn’t think I’d find anyone else here.”

Akui hadn’t noticed she’d been followed out here into the forests until she noticed a dancing blob. She tilted her head as she watched it. Part of her wanted to join him, he was obviously having fun, but the other part wasn’t exactly fond of the rain. She ventured out, just a little, from her safe haven. The rain started to hit her on the face, wet and cold. She recoiled with a hiss that would put any feline to shame. That had decided that. She bunkered herself down safely under the foliage that had would keep that cold wet stuff off of her.
Then it happened. A wave of the stuff flew in her direction. Her eyes went wide as time seemed to slow. She tried her best to pull back out of its path, but she hadn’t been fast enough. It hit her in the face, getting in her eyes and all over her. She hissed again and started shaking furiously to get the stuff off. It was an irrational response, she knew it, but it was instinctive.
After a few seconds she started to blink, letting the hiss die down. She hated whatever this stuff was falling from the sky, but it hadn’t killed her. She wasn’t hurt, it just felt weird and uncomfortable on her skin. She plodded past the digimon that was responsible and out into the rain, slowly testing out her theory. She let it hit her as she resisted the urge to flee back to the safety of her temporary den. Her wings twitched when the rain hit them, but she’d managed to keep from hissing. Water, that was what this was. She hadn’t named it, but the name had come to her. This wet stuff that she had thought was toxic was just water falling from the sky.
Looking up into the storm clouds she still hadn’t taken in her companions. The weirdest feeling had come over her as she looked up at the sky. A feeling of longing she couldn’t place filled her and suddenly it was gone. A memory, a corrupted bit of data, she didn’t know what the cause was. She only knew the clouds looked welcoming, almost familiar.
She snapped back into the real world just in time to notice the latest visitor. She turned back at the one that had splashed her to offer an introduction first. “I’m Akui.” She said it loud enough for both of them to hear. She hopped in place as was the tendency of young digimon, their overabundant energy had to burn off somehow. “Sorry about hissing at you.” She said to Shinji, her face dropping a little in embarrassment.

After his laughter his actions hit him flat in the face, he just... Did he... He turned a shade of red as realization hit him, he had just played without his true brother. The one who he seemed to hand landed right at spoke to him saying her name and apologizing for hissing, Shinji knew he had to react and regain his cool quickly. "I-I... Was just, enjoying this cold stuff." His voice was shaken and it seemed he regained little composure from his little dance. He looked away from Akui and toward the new comer, two digimon had seen him, this was just great. Absolutely great, how was he to separate himself from digimon now, when it was obvious he actually enjoyed the world. "Shinji." He spoke in a barely audible low voice.
He looked down on the dirty moist ground, what was he to do now? He had blown it, any chance of being different from the others. Looking back up he looked at the forest companions a little better, they all seemed to be fresh, one was a hairball... Then the girl white blob with wings he had followed. "Does anyone know what this cold stuff is?" he asked unsure whether it was safe to eat or drink.

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | As Boss continued following the other blob, the fresh level had simply kept quiet, ignoring the downfall of rain. Despite it just being water, it felt pretty good! Kind of like having a bath without the cleaning or anything like that. It simply rolled off his body without a care in the world, the slightly cold feeling rather nice to feel. The pattering sounds of the rain were the only things he could hear until the digimon he had been following suddenly turned around. Maybe it spotted him? Once they let out a rather surprising hiss, Boss blinked in surprise, almost falling down on his back!
“Ugh…it’s no problem.”
Boss turned, righting himself. Apparently, Boss hadn’t been the target for the other inhabitant’s sudden hissing. Right in front of them had been another digimon wandering around in the forest as well along the rain. The fufumon simply floated near the two with a curious look on his face. He didn’t exactly recognize them from anywhere, but considering they were just wandering around in the fields, they were probably from the village as well. With that little detail in mind, the sense of curiosity was gone with the intention of wandering around with them, that is, if they wanted another companion.
“Uhh, it’s called rain, and…I think it’s good to drink, just not if it hits the ground.” He offered up.

Akui found Shinji's attempt at recomposing himself both strange and slightly embarrassing. She couldn't help, but snicker a little. It wasn't meant ill-hearted, it was just a response to something funny. "Shinji, it's nice to meet you." Once again the pent up energy made itself known, much to her annoyance and embarrassment. She propelled herself upward, jumping up and down as many of her comrades were known to do. The simple fools that she found insufferably dimwitted. She hated the similarities she shared with them. As she hopped she turned to face the new comer.
"You know a lot about this place?" She asked as she finally settled down. The falling rain no longer serving to distract or annoy her. Instead it was somewhat enjoyable, the cold feeling of it. "Who are you?"
A droplet of rain hit Akui right on the nose as she asked her question. Her body shuddered as she sneezed, propelling herself backwards. In that brief moment she managed to digivolve. It was a sudden rush of energy and then nothing. She felt the change in her body, but she wasn't sure what to make of it. What took her by surprise was that it had felt like ages. There had been two forces pulling at her, one was warm and welcoming while the other was cold and resonated with something within her. She'd taken the way that had felt familiar, the cold road. Here white features had been tarnished. The wings were gone and replaced by floppy ears she had no idea what to do with.
"What-what happened?" She sounded truly shocked by the development.

It seemed he set a bad impression, just great, first his brother now other digimon. Who needs them? Who needs any of them. He debated on just walking away to be by himself, when she started to light up changing to something else. Then there was the other guy, who was he? Where did he come from? Shinji felt like the third wheel in a two digimon group.
He haven't heard of digivolution yet, nor has he himself digivolved. "What is that?" he asked leaning toward the blob with wings that had just changed to something else. Was there something in the air? What was this? Was this caused of the cold stuff, called rain?

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Well, that was certainly an odd moment. Boss had attracted the other two’s attention and they seemed to bombard him with questions since he seemed to know a bit more than him. Before he could even answer, two things happened. He needed to think on how the heck he was going to talk about something he barely knew. The second thing that happened was the fact that one of them had suddenly evolved in the blink of an eye. They went a small white blob with wings and got larger into a grey sort of fluffball with red eyes and wing like ears. Boss blinked in surprise at the digimon and shared a grin.
“You evolved, so lucky!” he spouted out, some of the rain falling into his open mouth or sliding off his slimy skin.
Now, how the heck was he going to explain evolving? He heard the term from a few of the older digimon around the village and figured that was it. Something in the back of his mind told him that he was right, but really didn’t have a way of saying it like the others before had told him.
“I think it’s when your body changes like theirs did, it happens to all of us, though dunno how…” he finished, muttering the last bit. Evolving seemed easy, yet hard at the same time since someone in front of them literally did it after having some water fall on them. Maybe that was the answer, water? Boss stared up at the cloudy sky as it rained gently atop of the three digimon, the orange slime fresh level hoping one of these drops could help him do just that.
