[FIN] Nero

PERSONALITY

The virus dragon digimon known as Nero is a 'mon of another sort. Violent, defensive, and highly mistrusting this digital monster is a fighter with a purpose. Nero isn't like many of his line. Though his curiosity still persists he is a lot more cautious than others of his species as well as less naive. He sees everyone as a potential enemy with little chance or hope of being anything more then a means to an end.

Nero doesn't believe in things like "friendship" and "bonds" to him they are just pretty words that lull you into a false sense of security. To make you think that you can trust someone when in the end all they will do is stab you in the back or abandon you when the moment is opportune. He is actually quite intelligent for being of the Guilmon lineage. As Nero is good at assessing an enemy instead of just rushing into a situation blindly following his instincts.

He is an intelligent fighter, but has moments where his anger or instincts get in the way of rational thought, turning him into an instinctual driven beast bent on the destruction of his foe(s). He does have some good qualities among the bad, such in the case of his undying will and determination. Rarely does he back down from what he wants to achieve even if it would mean his death. He has a strong loyalty to the very few who may one day earn his trust. And even if he never vocalizes it, he'd be willing to die for them.

Underneath his dark, hard, and frosty exterior lies the smallest glimmer of hope that he will one day find someone who will never betray him and never let him down. Deep down he holds on to the fragile belief that in the end, he'll always have someone to turn to, a friend, lover, or otherwise Nero wants to believe in "love" and "friendship" but has a hard time understanding it. And thus he consumes himself with his obsession for power. Because only then will he be able to protect others and never have to lose anyone he cares for.

HISTORY

The first thing he realized when he hatched was that he was alone. He didn't understand the feeling at first but he instantly didn't like it. As a newly born digimon who had hatched in the wild without any protection made him realize that the world he was 'born' into was a very scary place. Even so he brought forth his bravery and trekked on with hopes of finding someone like him. The first few digimon he met were not nice. They even tried to kill him but failed as someone came to his rescue, a rookie digimon who said it "had no name".

The fresh form digimon was in awe with the rookie and began following it around, partly afraid of getting hurt and partly out of the fact he wanted to learn more about the rookie and the rest of the world. This rookie digimon taught him about the world and what they were, the different stages of digivolution, and other things like what was good to eat and where it was a good idea to sleep at night.

For the first few weeks things were great, and the nameless pair became good friends. They decided to give each other names with the Rookie naming him Nero after his black coloration. Unfortunately the newly named Nero couldn't think of a name for his best friend but the rookie shrugged it off and said it was "fine being nameless".

Things continued as normal for a few more days until the digimon that the rookie beat before came back alongside a stronger rookie level level digimon. Nero's friend told him to run but Nero refused. In it's desire to keep Nero safe he pushed him off the ledge which it knew there was a bunch of soft moss at the bottom so Nero would be safe. As Nero fell he watched with wide eyes as his friend was deleted before falling and passing out.

When he woke up he found himself in The Village of Origins and alone once again. Remembering his friend selfish sacrifice Nero made the decision that he would get stronger, and no longer trust others because they would leave him in the end. With that resolve he entered the Village of Origins with dreams of one day digivolving so no one would end up dying like his friend did... Little did he know that his friend wasn't gone for good and that one day they might meet again....
