King had traveled for what seemed like hours through this forest where he planned to have his home built. He had recently separated with September, leaving the task of building their fortress to her and the others. A King couldn't be bothered to take part in the construction of a building. That was far too below his stature. No, he was off on a quest for power. If he was indeed to be the King of this world, he would need power. The power to lead, the power to rule, and the power to destroy anyone who dared to oppose him. At present, he already believed he was the strongest, but he couldn't rely on petty beliefs alone. He wanted to further better himself so that he may reside on a pedestal that no other could hope to attain. It was due to this notion that he found himself nearing the edge of the woods. He could see a breach in the tree line off in the distance, bright light and a brown hue filtering in through the gap. The closer he got to this exit, the dustier and dry the air became. It was like inhaling soil, but King would not be daunted by the whims of nature. He was confident that he could handle anything that the world would throw at him. As he came upon the edge of the forest, he stared at the breathtaking view. Sprawled out across the land before him was a wasteland of crags and plateaus that stretched out as far as the eye could see. His position in the forest was on a hill that dropped quite steeply into the dusty expanse below.
"Ahhhh, a truly wild world does exist. Harsh environments such as these are sure to prepare me for my position upon the throne. What will they say when their King comes back 100 times as strong as before? Nothing! There is nothing they could possibly say as my visage locks their jaws shut in awe!" He clenched his narrow pink claws and allowed his flimsy tail to dangle in the wind as he took in the view. Turning his back to the dry-lands that he was soon to thrust himself into, he lowered onto his hands and knees. Gripping the steep ledge, he lowered his body down slowly until he hang by his finger tips on the sheer wall of dirt. With a hearty laugh, he let go and slid down the surface on his knees. His smile widened as adrenaline pumped through his veins. Within moments he was somersaulting across the ground at the bottom of the hill. With a small cloud of dust he skidded to a halt, his legs flipped over his head and his eyes spinning. He couldn't help but laugh at the occurrence. Without much difficulty, he was able to flip onto his rear end. Standing upon his feet, he found himself between the steep hill, and another wall of dirt, sand and stone that rose into a flat topped plateau. Leading off to the sides was the ravine he found himself in. From his view above, he had seen the sprawling network of cracks in the earth that looked like a maze. He had entered a natural labyrinth, probably ripe with excitement and risk.
King was unable to think of a logical direction to head from this starting point, so he was content to leave it to chance. With a bit of scrounging about, he was able to find a large rock that had a point at one end and was flat at the other. It was oddly reminiscent of an arrow point, or a narrow triangle. He then placed it upon its point and gave it a swift spin. It dangled upright for awhile, spinning ever slower, until it finally came to a stop. It tipped to one side. King had decided to head in the direction that the point directed. Sadly, it had pointed the way he had come, and he had no intention of going back. With a grimace, he grabbed the rock and spun it once more. This time, when it spun to a halt, it was directing him to go right, and so he did. he followed the ravine, taking a sharp turn, and heading deeper into the maze. As he walked, his presence seem to bring activity to the surroundings. The sound of his steps echoed through the halls of earth and occasionally brought dirt cascading down from above. He carried the rock with him as a decider in his quest. He would come to forks and spin the rock to decide. Sometimes it lead him on a good path, at other times it would point at walls, or it would lead to dead ends. Either way, King was having a blast exploring. What he couldn't have counted on though, was the temperature changes in the area. In a rocky, lifeless place such as this, once temperature started changing, changed quickly. King soon found himself huddled in a niche in the wall, shivering and struggling to keep warm.
The next moment that king was aware of, he was awake, and the warmth had returned to the area. He must have passed out due to the cold. With a yawn, he stretched his extremities and got to his feet. He looked around in a daze, slightly confused as to where he was. For a moment, he thought he was dreaming because he had forgotten that he had gone further into the wilderness. Slapping his cheeks, King set off once more, headed deeper into the wastes. When he traveled for what seemed like ages, having meandered through endless passages, he decided he should get a look a where he was. Approaching a wall, he dug his fingers into some cracks and started pulling himself upward. His pink, fleshy shoulders quivered under the strain as he climbed, once tiny step at a time. He could feel his muscles screaming under his weight as he hauled himself ever higher up the wall. Finally, when he felt as if he couldn't climb any higher, he grit his teeth and jumped with the rest of his strength. His fingers wrapped around the edge of the plateau, and he pulled himself up quickly. His body sprawled atop the flat surface, his chest heaving under the beating sun. Sweat dripped from his forehead, and his eyes were closed. He could feel the heat, and see the light through the thin skin of his eyelids. Finally having caught his breath, he sat up and opened his eyes. His efforts surprised himself. The first thing he saw was apparently the way he had come. At the edge of the distant horizon, he could see the green of the forest that he had started from. In all directions from his current position the maze stretched further. He was merely a speck upon the world, and he had hardly experienced a thing it had to offer. "Soon... this will all be mine."

Aki's new form scurried across the ground in a quick fashion, new appendages carrying him in a form of locomotion he wasn't quite accustomed to and until recently had caused the in training digimon a bit of a struggle. His body was more or less the same as it had been previously with a few modifications. The small feet like things from before had grown out into full blown claw like appendages and the tiny ears of before now grew as well and appeared more like antennas or feelers than they really did ears. Still, this was a substantial change for the young digimon. Now instead of hopping he actually had some strange finger like feet that carried him around and moved in a bit of a scuttling fashion which was a lot easier than bouncing and consumed less of his energy in order to get around. Also couldn't get around the fact that it was faster as well. Before digivolving Aki had wondered why the other digimon had apparently been born larger and more complete than himself and a lot of the others he had seen during his time staying in the field of beginnings but now he had managed to get a grasp of what was happening. Truth to be told, it confused the day lights out of him, but Aki assumed as long as he just kept living he'd get bigger and more complete as well.
The strange thing about it however was that he changed in more way than just physical appearance. No something inside him was different too but he didn't really know how to express the feeling or even what to call it. The thing was almost like a nonstop nudging in the back of the digimon's head that was demanding something he had no idea of how to supply to it and the constant noise just wouldn't stop. His own memory was a bit hazy but apparently he had been asked by elecmon to leave the field of beginnings for a little bit until he could get things straightened out as apparently he had done something that he wasn't supposed to but wasn't quite sure of what. Having no real sense of direction and what was the suggested place to go however, the young digimon chose a random direction and went that way, finding himself in the wilds. Fortunately, things weren't too dangerous out here yet or he surely could have met a pretty disastrous end at the hands of some other more feral digimon, but things were pretty smooth sailing and he even got to take in a lot of sights and sounds he otherwise didn't know existed.
Before leaving the field, the great bright grassy plain covered in eggs and surrounded by toy blocks was really all he had known and before leaving all he needed to know. Now he just wanted to know more and more. Unfortunately, knowledge of the outside world wasn't what the force in the back of his head wanted from him.
"Soon...this will all be mine."
Aki turned around to see a strange pink mouse like digimon who had shown up at the top of the maze as well and seemed to have struggled quite a bit to get here. For a moment he just stared King in the eyes before speaking at last in his strange little way that seemed as if the language itself was entirely foreign to him despite the fact that it appeared to come naturally to all digimon. "....hello.....stupid...." He uttered the same phrase that the other digimon in the field used when referring to him as it seemed to be the natural greeting and judging by how much the other digimon laughed and smiled when it happened it appeared to be a good tim for all. The Tsumemon tried to mimic their smiling faces, but alas even with this new form he still had no mouth, only his singular eye, which blinked a few times and squinted a bit in response to his attempt at replicating a gesture that was physically impossible.

King turned quickly at the sound of someone's voice. It was spoken strangely, but he didn't see anybody around. Another thing bothered him as well. What the voice had said was... quite rude. Wrong, in fact. It had to be wrong. King was far too amazing to be stupid. "Haha, do my ears betray me?" He spoke in an awkward voice as a spot of sweat dripped down his cheek. He ended up shaking his head back and fourth furiously. "Nonsense. I, King, do not mishear things. My ears are large, my sense are keen, and I'm too good for that. Someone just spoke to me." Someone had to be there. And they must have misspoken. No one could possibly call King stupid. It just wasn't feasible. A flawless superior being such as himself did not simply get insulted. A mistake had occurred, and King would be sure to rectify it. Looking around once more, King broadened his search. This time he checked the sky, and eventually, the ground around him. That's when he saw the disgusting hand monster that was sitting on the ground blinking at him with a grotesque and intimidating red eye. This little munchkin would be insane to try and insult King.
King breathed a sigh of relief to see that his aggressor was a tiny little blue blob of flesh that didn't post much of a threat. "You seem to have me mistaken for someone else. I'm not sure how that's possible, considering how much better I am than everyone else, but you have achieved it. I am not what you would call stupid. I am what you would call a lord. A champion among digimon. You, in fact, are the stupid one more making such an asinine mistake." King held his head high at an angle to show that he was looking down on the little squirt. He also kept his eyes attentive to see him his rebuttal had struck home. Perhaps the digimon had honestly made a mistake, but King was above the mistakes of others. He couldn't simply let it pass by. It had to be corrected, and he would use the utmost of his abilities to see it so. If that meant insulting some poor little baby digimon that had probably wondered too far from the fields, then so be it. He would toy with it until it admitted its mistake. "Your response, you miscreant?"

It seemed like in the matter of a mere instant, Aki had been attacked with a barrage of words that completely flew over his tiny little head. So this was what the outside world was like? Full of people who talked much differently than what he was used to along with just plain looking much different as well. It was amusing to the little blue hand shaped digimon and he couldn't help but listen to King's entire monologue just in an attempt to soak it all in and actually remember this the next day. "Yes, I am also stupid...." Aki retorted as King made a point of being sure that the in training digimon was corrected on who stood atop the figurative totem pole here. Again it was just the nae he was used to, so of course he would go along with it when King used it again.
"So I call you...Lord???" He asked inquisitively, still not being all too good with names and not sure if he had properly conveyed what he wanted to know from the mouse. "Lord has....large ears....keen senses....and is too good....." Aki repeated something he heard earlier from King, not really knowing what it meant and just saying it because he thought that was how other digimon talked to each other, by just repeating words and such. To King it would likely sound as if he were praising him or something, but the virus type was actually more inquisitive as to what it all meant rather than referring to him by these terms. The little digimon rolled over so that it was lying on its back/head with its finger like feet kicking about in the air as it seemed to be having some serious issues mulling over all the words that had come at him in the past few moments.

King was incredibly taken aback. He simply had no idea how to respond to the little blue hand. He had berated him, undermined him, and done his darndest to hurt the things feelings. He felt like he had done a pretty good job, in fact, he was quite proud of his selection of words. Knowing his own greatness, he had been positive it would work. It had to work because King was King and that meant he was perfect. But... he had failed. The thing was actually relatively clam. Hell, it called itself stupid then complimented King further. It called him lord, talked about King's amazing skills, and then rolled around like an adorable little pet. This thing... This thing... Tears welled up in the corners of King's eyes as he stared down at the freakish bundle of confusion. "I... you say nice things. Ummm, how do I respond to this... Gahhhh, how can I not think of a thing to say?!?! This is embarrassing... Phew." King was forced to turn his back on the creature while he collected himself. He started by breathing in deeply and closing his eyes. The breath glided out of his lungs, until there was nothing left, and his wandering thoughts began to become focused. Upon opening his eyes, he turned back to the monster.
"You... are surprisingly humble. It puts me, and I say this with the utmost respect, in awe. I have always thought myself perfect, and by simply repeating words that I have said, you have shown me my place. Perhaps I am not as superior as I think I am..." King looked down at the ground, and attempted to be resigned. He was not. It hurt his pride to no end to say these things. His skin quivered, and his thoughts grew wild and more ferocious than before. As his inner emotions boiled to the brink of eruption, they suddenly quelled and he found himself smiling. With a sly grin, King spoke to the being once more. "Hahahhaha, how could I have been so mistaken. To think I would say such foolish things. I should doubt myself. I am a legend, a lord, a masterpiece of the digital world. I will never question it again. The conclusion that I have come to is that you are simply equal with me. I'm sure that on the inside you face just as much turmoil as I currently do. Well played, friend, well played. I offer truce and suggest we be acquainted as two superior digimon." King had to lower himself to get on equal terms with this other champion of life. He was certainly proud to have finally met an equal.

As Aki's naive blue form rolled around the ground trying to make some use of what grey matter he actually had it would appear that the other digimon would begin to speak again He rocked to and fro a bit in order to shift his weight and gain a bit of momentum before landing on his several feet again and looking up to the Chuumon who always had a mouthful to say from what Aki had glimpsed at so far. Perhaps that was another part of being normal? Just constantly talking with out end? That seemed hard though, for him the words just didn't quite flow out of his..., well he had no mouth, but they just didn't seem to quite come out the same.
This was slightly different though, it appeared as if Lord or King or whatever he preferred to go by was more flustered than he had been previously as his words had an all around different air to them. Despite this difference however they still didn't mean a whole lot to poor Aki who kind of blinked a couple f times and waiting until King was finished before speaking once more. "Equal? ...Friend? .....Superior?" He asked now, not really sure of what a lot more of the words said meant but these three seemed to stick out to him the most and piqued at his curiosity enough to specifically inquire into their meanings. No one had ever really used those words to describe him before.
A short moment after there was a strange sounds which came from the Tsumemon's body, a sound that many would recognize as the indication of hunger as the stomach made its plea for nourishment, but for Aki it had coincided with the nudging in his mind that desired something that he wasn't certain of. The sound came and went and at first he thought it had come from somewhere or something else, but over time realized that it seemed to stalk him and was thus likely a part of him. The large red eye shot King a look as if asking for help in this situation as he didn't know what to make of it.

King smiled broadly at the midgets response. Sure it had been some repetition of what King had just said, but King understood the meaning from the selection of words. "Well, I'm glad you agree my little friend." King was oblivious to the fact that the dude probably didn't understand what he had said. It didn't matter as any attention he may have give it was soon diverted by the grumbling sound the emerged from the pipsqueak. It was a sound the King had experienced a few times himself. It was a deep noise that rumbled from the stomach and sometimes carried an ache with it. It was the bodies built in alarm for hunger. The desire to consume material and drink fluids. It was annoying, but it had to be done. Luckily, stuff usually tasted good so that was a plus. Thinking about food, King found his own stomach starting to grumble. He hadn't eaten that day. Actually, he hadn't eaten in over a day. Where the heck was he supposed to find food out here in these retched crags? Putting his head to the task, King really only had one conclusion. They would simply take food from some other digimon that happened to be in the area. Sure, there wouldn't be many others here, but there had to be at least one. Hopefully, they'd have food too.
Walking to the edge of the plateau, King started tracing the narrow passages with his eyes, looking for any sign of life. Occasionally there was movement, but it was often just the wind knocking up clouds of dust, or sending a rock tumbling down a rock face. King almost overlooked the one, well, small cluster of things that seemed to be living. It was a small cluster of floating furry white balls with purple tendrils extending from the tops of their head. They were surrounding a large object sticking from the ground that was brown and had a white thing protruding from the top. They seemed to be eating from the surface. "Hey, am I seeing things or does that look like food over there?" King was quite focused and didn't bother pointing out what he was looking at. It was kind of far, but not unmanageable to get to. He would just have to remember the route to take by looking at the path from above. For a being of his skill, that was not a difficult task. Looking towards his compatriot, King proposed the offer. "So, do you wanna go take that with me?"

Aki shot an inquisitive look to King now when the same sound seemed to come from his own stomach much like the one the Tsumemon heard from his own stomach which marked the first time he had heard it come from someone else. So it wasn't a sign of him being destroyed from the inside out or anything like that. Well that was a huge weight off of his nonexistent shoulders. Then again they could still be getting destroyed in such a manner and it was something that King had as well. He had hoped to get answers from the mouse digimon, but honestly it seemed like everytime he made any sort of attempt for it the guy never really gave him a straight response and instead just used even more strange and foreign words that went over his head. For most this would be an all around frustrating type of experience but Aki was still enjoying it even without getting what he wanted to hear. This King guy felt different from the other hatchlings he was often around in the Field of beginnings and it felt kind of warm rather than cold. The feeling was..."good..." Aki spoke aloud as the word seemed to just come to him out of nowhere. King would likely think he was just agreeing with his plan on how to get some food though.
Speaking of which, Aki looked over the edge of the plateau as well now to get an idea of what his new companion was actually talking about. At first it was difficult to get a lock on what he was looking at but soon enough the singular red eye could see all of the Yuramon as well along with whatever they were eating. It seemed like King described it as food which he wasn't sure of the meaning for as well but assumed it was what would make his body stop making noises and cease the aching which was all he really needed to know by this point. Aki nodded in response to his proposal of grabbing the food and began to walk forward with his tiny legs in the direction of the object. He wasn't sure why be he seemed to feel instinctually driven to obtain whatever that was.

The agreement came shortly after King had given his plan, and that made King rather pleased. Not only had he found a kindred genius, but he also found someone who agreed with his actions and possibly his selfish ideals. It was so perfect is almost caused him to exclaim in joy. Luckily, he still had the self control to temper his wild emotions so he kept a straight face. "Then let's hop to it." With that said, King crawled very close to the edge and started to dangle his feet down looking for a foothold. When he found something metal jutting from the rock face with his toes, he tried to lower himself onto it. It seemed like a pipe of some sort, so he trusted it would support his weight. His trust was misguided as this was just some scrap metal that had found its way lodged in the wall for oddly no reason. King's weight served to free it from the earthy embrace, sending it clanking to the ground. Following close behind was King who was rolling at high speed, and ricocheting back and fourth against the wall. It was going to be a painful ride down.
He bumped into tiny ridges that extended from the wall. Normally when climbing down these ridges would be a godsend because they would be perfect grips and foot holds to support himself. Now, though, they were demonic pieces of natural terrain that served to make his fall more painful. He crashed between one to the other, and they did slow his fall, but at the expense of great pain. By the time King reached the bottom, the wind had completely been knocked out of him and he couldn't even annunciate the pain he felt. He sat there in silent agony waiting for his friend to follow him down.

The mouse like digimon didn't need to tell him twice as Aki was already trying to consider ways to get over there. While he wasn't the sharpest tool in the digi-shed the virus type had been born with enough data to know that jumping off of cliffs wasn't a goo idea and most likely just led to bad results of varying degrees. What was worse that his body wasn't all that suited for going back down the face of the plateua as quite honestly he couldn't even remember how he got here to begin with but it had been difficult and strenuous but nonetheless pretty fun for the little guy. Not fun in the sense that he enjoyed struggling or in that he wanted to push his body or train or any sort of thing that would cross a normal person's min on coming up here. No, he enjoyed it simply because it was something new that he didn't understand and thus by doing it had suddenly become much more in touch with the world around him and wouldn't need to ask anyone what it was or how it felt. It was the first time he experienced exhaustion or working for something in order to get your results and it felt both good and bad at the same time. Such a strange sensation.
Nevertheless, it was time for them to get on the move and before he even knew it seemed his friend had taken quite the interest method of moving down to the lower levels of the barren wasteland in which they had been talking atop of.Pretty much the opposite of what Aki had been telling himself to do. Hm so that actually was how it was done, huh? Perhaps that was what the little blue hand got for listening to his own instinct when he himself knew that he lacked sufficient knowledge of the world around him. Looking over the edge with dull red eyes the small digimon stepped off of the ledge and rolled down much like King had and experiencing much the same pain, however his landing was slightly softer at least by landing right on the mouse's gut and bouncing a bit. He rolled over a couple of times before using the finger like feet to stop his momentum and regaining some semblance of balance as his mind was all over the place and the world seemed to be spinning. That experience didn't feel...good. Why would King do that kind of thing? "....not....good..." The digimon spoke through the pain by simply sticking to the few words it truly understood and moved over to King now, standing over his outstretched body with a single wide eye resting only an inch or two from his own face and simply staring at him.

Not good? Of course it wasn't good. King had tumbled from the top of a cliff all the way to the bottom, and was quite bruised and battered to show for it. How in the heck could that have been good? Such an obvious statement. King had to hold his tongue to avoid insulting his new pal. He had obviously assumed that the blue bugger was referring to King's fall and not it's own. If it hadn't landed on top of him, King wouldn't even have cared if it fel. "I... meant to do that. The damage toughens you up. Makes you stronger. It's a good thing in the long run, even if it hurts now." King sat up and turned his gaze to avoid eye contact with the little fellow. Half heartedly, he reached over and gave it his attempt at a reassuring pat. He wanted to seem nice, despite his inclination, because he wanted to keep his acquaintance as an ally. It wouldn't do to have an equal being as his enemy. If it got as strong as he was, then they'd cancel each other out. It was simple math. It would be much easier to simply be comrades.
In order to forget his plunge and the shame it brought to his mind, King tried to change the subject to more pressing matters. "Now, let's see about that food we wanted." King could feel the saliva building up in the interior of his mouth. It took quite the mental fortitude to stop it from flooding out. "I think they were this way..." King started off down the narrow passages. After a few zigs and zags, he found himself staring at a small cluster of 4 baby digimon who were nibbling at a... large chunk of meat? How odd. King had never seen meat just sticking out of the ground before, but here it was. Just sitting there like some kind of plant. "Stay as quiet as you can." King didn't consider the fact that his partner in crime didn't understand most of what he said. He just assumed it was listening. He then positioned himself behind a large rock where he could lean out and spy on the digimon. He was going to wait and see if there were any larger punks nearby that could intervene when he struck. He didn't want to risk extra combat when he could easily dispose of a couple babies without hastle.

Hm, King's explanation for what happened seemed weird, but the little guy couldn't really argue with the logic that was given to him. From what Aki could gather apparently putting yourself into situations that weren't pleasurable, such as the pain he had taken from that fall were actually good for you. Unfortunately, he had no real concept of long term effects as opposed to those of short term so while he could agree with it up to an extent it still seemed weird. It would simply have to be one of those things that he committed to memory and have to come back to at a later date in time in order to understand. He did get a pat on the head though which he couldn't exactly be certain of why but it was pleasurable. Was this the good side of getting hurt, people did this type of thing. Hey, maybe the virus type could get used to this type of life.
As they got near the scene of their would be crime Aki's eye's were immediately drawn to the meat plant coming out of the earth as he zoned out both his new friend along with the four digimon who were already in the process of devouring it. Whatever that was, he needed it right here and now. Legs moving on their own, the in training digimon moved from their hiding spot and nonchalantly walked toward the meat as if in a trance. Feet scuttling across the ground and eye dead on the prize if he wasn't stopped by something else happened Aki was going to try and devour the whole thing for himself.

"Hmm everything looks fine, but I have a hunch we should be careful about this. It's just a hunch thou-" King looked down to where he expected to see a little blueish grey claw. It wasn't there. He looked down towards his other side, still hoping to see a little blueish grey claw. It wasn't there either. He then frowned, shook his head and started to lean out to view the targets. "He couldn't have..." Sure enough, the little miscreant was charging straight towards the meat, and the digimon who surrounded it. There was no more time to think, no more time to be careful and no more time to plan. It was time to act. King jumped out from behind the rock and ran out after his compatriot. "Raaaawwwwwwrrrr! Cower in fear you midgets, I'm here to steal your meat!" King himself had to admit that it wasn't very convincing, but he was acting on the spot. He didn't get the chance to plan out what he would say thanks to a certain virus typed digimon. He simply hoped that the fact that he was a rookie digimon while they were babies would scare them a bit.
His little spur of the moment improvisation did not succeed in the slightest. The yuramon stared at him quite frankly, with their unblinking little black beady eyes. It was actually pretty intimidating to him. They had those horrible little black eyes, that seemed to pierce through his rambunctious facade and see to his simple selfish core. It was nerve wracking but King couldn't lose here. He had to make an example out of them, and he also had to get his meat. Walking forward, he grabbed one of the yuramon with his hand, completely encompassing its small head before it could react. He then threw it at the rock wall across from them. It hit with a soft thump, followed by a loud squeal as the baby cried out. The ground trembled a bit, but not from the throw. King paid it no mind. Instead, he gave a victory yell, followed by a menacing glare back down at the other Yuramon. "How's that? Scared now?!!?" His insecurity showed through the statement, but it didn't matter. He had actually taken one of their kin and slammed it against a wall. The other little critters whimpered and scurried over to their injured companion. King turned to look for his buddy. "You see that? That's how you steal some meat." His confidence was nauseating.

As Aki made his way towards the group with his eye dead set on the prize before them he could have sworn he heard something behind him. Sure enough it was none other than King bringing up the rear and making some sort of strange noise while demanding the meat. He couldn't understand the point of that first sound he made though. Was that just a really weird version of a word that he just hadn't heard before or perhaps that was the proper way that other digimon bartered for things like this food and this was just meant to be taken as a learning experience for him. Not really sure what to do, he simply went with the only thing he did know how to do, which was mimic his new companion during his forward charge as well. "Rrraaaarrrrooooo!" The in training digimon called out, his own snarl sounding even less imitating than the pink mouse's (if that was even possible) as the Yuramon were totally unphased by this display. Perhaps he had just done it wrong?
Finally closing the distance gap, he had hoped to be able to easily move in and get a taste of that succulent stuff they were putting in their mouths, but sure enough a few of the digimon made a little blockade to prohibit him from going any further and taking what was there. This was of course a pretty obvious response to someone trying to steal from you, but as usual, Aki was confused. Why did they do this to him? Why was he faced with opposition. He had gone through the proper bartering ritual after all so it should have been done then and there. Perhaps there were more steps to this ritual than he knew though. Sure enough, King had already taken the next step forward and grabbed one of the little digimon and threw it into a wall. Aaahhh, so that was what else you had to do huh? Aki looked down at his own body and considered trying to pull it off before realizing his own short comings. Yeah, that wasn't really possible when you lacked the hands and appropriate bodily structure to pull it off.
Fortunately, he wouldn't need any of that as it seemed King's completion of the ritual was also enough to get him by on good graces with the Yuramon as they moved free of his path. Moving past the rookie digimon now he went on ahead and took a bite from the meat that they had managed to intimidate the other digimon out. Even while chewing Aki couldn't be quite sure of what this was, but it was honestly the best feeling he had ever had in his very short life span thus far. "Very...very...good." He spoke aloud in between chews, the statement mainly focused on the taste of the meat in his mouth and filling his stomach but also to King for pulling off this heist and teaching him so much already.
